The receptionist was incredibly kind and helpful, and the hotel had a lovely, family-like atmosphere. It was quiet and felt safe, which I really appreciated. I was travelling by bike and was able to leave it safely next to the entrance, where it stayed until the next morning.
Considering that it is a 2-star hotel, I found the room comfortable and clean, and the value for money was very good. It was perfect for a one-night stay.
The only small downside was the breakfast: a maximum of three croissants could be requested, although I can understand this system given that it is a small hotel.

Das Hotel ist sehr zentral gelegen und die Gastgeberin sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Kurze Wege am Abend zum Essen im Stadtzentrum. Das Frühstück ist nicht aussergewöhnlich aber gut.
Dem Haus selber merkt man das Alter an, wobei versucht wurde die Zimmer sanft zu modernisieren. Das ist ganz gut gelungen.
Das Hotel ist leicht übersehbar wenn man durch das Zentrum fährt. Der Aufgang zu den Zimmern mit Gepäck ist etwas anstrendend, vor allem für ältere Personen. Es ist kein Lift vorhanden.

The room was at best average. The toilet had no ventilation at all (there was an extractor fan but it wasn't working!) and therefore had an unpleasant smell to it (and it was tiny!)
The shower was over the strangest bathtub I've ever encountered, it looked like it was designed for sitting in but it was tiny too!....

Very pleasant staff who gave us a good beach recommendation, room was comfortable and quiet, good location. We could leave our bags at the hotel while we looked around and before our train on the day of check-out. Very nice breakfast. Extremely close to the train station!
