Great location and wonderful staff. Many fun restaurants and bars as well as many options for more upscale dining.

Spent a long weekend at the house. Great atmosphere and lots of history. Great location and the view is awesome. The staff is good and for the most part is supportive. The room shows its age as the dehumidifier runs non stop and I had to empty it once a day. The paint is peeling and the windows rattle when there is a strong wind. The bed was super comfortable and the AC cools the room nicely. We had trouble with the drain on the bath tub which was never corrected - I used a rag to keep the water in the tub. The noise from the bar and the food truck is distracting when laying around the pool as the fence is right up to people sitting and eating. The price is a little high for such a run down place. Several leaks visible on the ceilings, railing on stairs missing parts, etc. but it has history and is quite old. Comparing it to the neighboring properties, I would probably go back next door on my next trip.

My girlfriend & I just got back home from a stay at Southernmost House, 3/19-22/26. We went to Key West for my bday, and our experience couldn’t have been better. We stayed in rm 108 across the brick street from the main house, a large room with living room, dining area, full kitchen ( my gf has special dietary restrictions so we cook) , large bedroom & bath. Beautiful & so comfortable. Wraparound porch with its own private courtyard. At one point we had a shower malfunction so right away we were given use of rm 109 while our shower was being promptly repaired. Every need was catered to. Big thank you’s to all the Southernmost House staff, and most particularly to the very kind gentleman at the main desk who checked us in & checked with us periodically to see if we needed anything. He was a gem. Embarrassed I can’t recall his name, but he seemed to always be there ! We both give our highest recommendation for SmH, and hope to return ASAP

This was our third stay at this property and as always we were well satisfied. This is a great site with a great deal of historical significance. Everyone from Presidents to World leaders and some not so great people such as Mafia types have stayed here in the past. It has to be very difficult to keep a property like this in great shape as well as provide great service but they do. We did notice that there were some "attention to detail issues" such as painting and caulking that needs updating but that's an ongoing thing that we hope they stay ahead of in order to keep this a must stop while visiting Key West.

The mansion house was beautiful very well kept with tons of historic features and artwork inside. The pool was also very nice. Free bottled water was included throughout the stay. We really enjoyed sitting at the seaside Café and tequila bar. The pizza was amazing. Breakfast included in the stay was a nice perk (pastries, bagels, fruits, yogurt, coffee and tea). Parking is an additional fee of $25/night. They have about 6 spots available. Staff was friendly.

A major downside of this hotel is at the beds. Need to be upgraded. They are extremely hard and after four nights it was difficult to function with so little sleep. I I travel frequently and very rarely have such trouble sleeping due to the mattress. At the price point and the overall concept of the hotel, I would expect the beds to be a bit nicer. Even a pillow topper wouldhelp if they aren’t ready to replace the mattresses.

There’s also construction going on on the south Street side, which is disclose on the website, however it is worth mentioning if anyone is staying in the next few months. The construction starts early in the morning as is expected, but there is no sleeping in at this hotel.

The reason I rated this with three stars is solely due to the comfort of the bed and noise levels from construction. Considering this price point and the fact the only reason I need the room is to sleep I feel that this is a pretty big deal that they need to resolve. I booked a hotel on the quieter side of Duvall where everything closes down at 6 or 7 PM so we could get a solid night sleep during our trip but unfortunately, that did not happen.

Aside from the beautiful architecture, history and perfect location (beach + Duval St), the rooms are clean and elegant, and the service outstanding. Elia gave us a great check-in experience (so helpful after a long drive...). Special thanks to Dean, who gave us a fantastic tour and took wonderful care of us during check out :) We will be back!!

Beautiful accommodations and great location! Exceptional service.

Perfect location, very nice, clean room, fantastic view, friendly, helpful staff. One annoying rooster is the only complaint, but not a serious one.

The most gracious and professional and pleasant staff and lovely experience. The historic house, large rooms with high ceilings and location on the south end of Duval is ideal for quiet relaxation. We loved the sunrises and sunsets bottle from the warm saltwater pool deck. Outstanding breakfast of fresh baked local pastries and fruits.

My experience in this hotel was unfortunately very disappointing. From the moment of my arrival, I noticed inconsistencies with what is promoted as an adults-only hotel. Upon entering, I found 2 girls running all over the house, which clearly contradicts the concept that the establishment advertises.
In addition, I witnessed a very unhygienic situation in the reception area: a dog urinated on the front desk carpet, something that I consider unacceptable in terms of cleanliness and sanitary control.
My discomfort increased the next day during breakfast. The tables in the outdoor area were dirty, with chicken droppings, and the constant presence of these birds in the surroundings made it impossible to enjoy the food with peace of mind. The number of loose animals inside the facilities significantly affects the guest's experience.
In general, I consider that the hotel does not meet the expectations it promises in terms of an exclusive environment for adults, order and basic hygiene standards. Personally, I wouldn't recommend it.

We have been celebrating our wedding anniversary at the Southernmost House for the past 9 years. The people working there, Kathrine, Duffy and Marvin were outstanding with their service. This year the pool wasn't heated until the last day so Katherine gave us a generous rebate on our bill. The atmosphere is outstanding, the pizza from the Cafe is delicious and the drinks cold and refreshing.
We have already booked for next year!

海に最も近い部屋（101号室）にしてくれたので部屋から波の音を聞けました。
朝日も特等席から拝めます。

The building itself is old, but well maintained and there were no problems.
It was also well-cleaned, and it was clear that the staff love the hotel.
Mr. Johonnys explained the hotel to me with a lot of humor.
He gave me the room closest to the ocean (Room 101), so I could hear the sound of the waves from my room.
I could also watch the sunrise from my special seat.

Decided to book the Southernmost house based on the high reviews for our first time in Key West. The main house was beautiful, staff friendly and helpful. Breakfast in the morning was quite nice and laid out very well. This is why I gave it a 3 and not a 4.5 or 5. We had the bungalow room right on the water. The room was musty, and run down. To fix the toilet paper roll from slipping off, a bandaid was used .
When I went to pick up our jacket off the couch , my dark coat was covered with these bugs. The couch was infested . (When I looked them up it turned out to be harmless book lice , but that’s beside the point it was gross) . The outside of the room looks like it hadn’t been maintained in years , a little sandpaper and paint would help. For $1000 a night I was quite shocked that management allowed the outside and this particular room go by the wayside. Time and sea air has taken its toll on this building.

Great location, good ambiance but very hectic. Friendly staff. Pool area was nice. They advertised a 20% discount at the restaurant but refused to honor it without a manager’s approval (who went home sick).
AC seemed to discharge black specs over the bed. ?? Maybe better cleaning was required.

Marvin was fabulous!! He was attentive, professional and friendly during the busiest part of the day, sunset! Highly recommend this establishment!

Great experience the history of this house is unbelievable. The staff was very friendly, and the manager was super nice. She gave us a great history story of the house. If you ever are visiting Key West you must stay here. Awesome will come back for sure

The hotel's history and architecture are so interesting. We arrived early and were able to check in. The front desk and all the staff we met were friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and comfortable and made up every morning. Being as this is a small hotel, it is very quiet. The heated pool was never crowded. In the evening, we were able to walk just past the pool and watch the most beautiful sunset. Breakfast was quite good with fresh fruit, savory and sweet pastries, boiled eggs, yogurt, juice, and of course, coffee. There is a bar and grill within steps of the hotel. The Zero Marker is now next door, but you are never bothered by the sightseers. The only negative is a lack of elevator, and we were on the third floor - got our steps in!

My husband and I had the pleasure of staying at the Southernmost House Key West over the Thanksgiving holiday. Best Location in Key West in our opinion. : ) We did it right and booked the lovely 2nd floor king room with the large oceanfront balcony overlooking the sea and the infinity pool. And....... What a view! The room was spacious with a beautiful antique four poster bed which was extremely comfy and the sheets were so soft! The A/C worked beautifully and there was a dehumidifier in the room which was GENIUS! : ) The weather was perfect our entire stay, the daily "continental" Breakfast included was extremely satisfying with the most heavenly pastries - sweet as well as savory, bountiful fresh fruit, yogurt, cereal, breads, hard boiled eggs and coffee with instrumental music piped into the breakfast room. A small fridge was available 24/7 with plenty of bottled waters available for the guests. The pool was clean and quiet with plenty of loungers w/umbrellas for guests. The pool towels available could have been more plentiful -- they seemed to run out by day's end and with the pool access to guests being 24/7, I would have enjoyed an evening swim, but there were no more fresh towels. The onsite restaurant and bar adjacent to the mansion is excellent - drinks were fresh and strong, service attentive and the food was always tasty.

No real complaints here by any means but just a few possible suggestions for the future: For whatever reason, there was always a "maintenance" person in the breakfast room between 8:00am - 10:00am which is when the breakfast is served, and I think that sweeping, drilling, washing windows, etc. could be curtailed to before or after that time as a courtesy to the dining guests. This is an Adult Only property and would have been nice to have bathrobes available in guest rooms and maybe even champagne mimosas offered at breakfast to elevate the "romance" factor or overall experience.

Finally, cudos to all of the staff members who were always courteous and helpful - and a special thanks to the night manager, Dean and the day manager, Judith (she was kind enough to be able to extend our stay for a later checkout!) Nice people to have on staff.
We are already planning our next getaway to Key West, and we will definitely be back to this lovely gem!

The staff were very nice. The place was nice and quiet. The room was spacious and clean. The location was very easy to find and walkable to places. We would definitely revisit the place.

The Southernmost House was a wonderful place for our trip! It is located close to the Southernmost Point Buoy. We walked to restaurants when we didn’t eat at the hotel’s diner; which the food was delicious plus the service was top notch. We walked straight up Duvall Street all the way to Mallory Square. So many things to see and experience!

The beauty and history of the hotel was so alluring. Our first trip to Key West, 5 years ago, was fun, but we discovered the Southernmost House and vowed to stay there when we returned. It did not disappoint.

The rooms were clean, spacious and comfortable. Access was good as we were on the first floor.

Breakfast was amazing as they had all kinds of fruits, proteins and pastries. All situated on the east side of hotel overlooking the pool and Atlantic Ocean. We chose to eat outside on the patio overlooking the same view.

The staff were really mindful, professional and took care of everything we could have imagined.

We will stay there again!!!
