Minimoon Stay
Pros:

We visited Rixos Tekirova for our minimoon and overall had a lovely time. The resort itself is beautiful; the grounds are stunning, the atmosphere is relaxing, and the facilities are genuinely impressive. From the pools to the beach area, everything felt well-maintained and thoughtfully designed.

However, for a special occasion like a minimoon, we did feel the experience could have gone a little more above and beyond. While the staff were pleasant, there weren’t many personalised touches that made the stay feel extra special.

The biggest downside for us was the food. Although there were plenty of dining options, the dishes became quite repetitive, and by the end of our stay we found ourselves ready to head home for a change of taste.

Overall, Rixos Tekirova is a beautiful resort with great facilities, but there’s room for improvement, especially in terms of variety in the food and creating a more memorable experience for guests celebrating special occasions.

Cannot say it was bad, but not good either
Pros:

First will tell you what we liked: the location is great. Tekirova has wonderful mountain views and transparent water. No need to reserve sunbeds - there are enough of them. The territory is huge and nice.

Our room was upgraded and we stayed in Family deluxe one while booked a regular deluxe room (that would definitely be pretty tight).

The entertainment is lovely - lots of sport activities, including the ones for kids (mine especially liked kids yoga and trampoline class).

At checkin we were not given any guidance or even a hotel map, being told that personal assistant will add us to a chat. Had to visit Guest Relations twice the next day to finally have a WA chat and stop feeling lost in a huge resort. Btw we knew the qr codes on the beach umbrellas allow you ro order drinks/snacks from the bar the day we were departing;) Looked like most people have not realized that either and noone ever told you that.

Free a la cart restaurants are impossible to be booked - the app opens the reservation at 10.00, and at 10.02 there are no places available. Visited Mermaid and Rosetta restaurants (with surcharge) several times, they were always available and were pretty nice.

Meals in main restaurants were variable but mediocre. Very poor choice of fruites. Sometimes there were some tasty meals, but not every day. The basic wine was awful, Rixos hotels should not serve such cheap wine, this is disrespectful to your guests.

Room cleaning is below any expectations - looks like they only do the beds and mop the floors not very thorougly (there have always been hair in the bathroom), no cleaning at the balcony at all. Wash basin in the bathroom was never checked. By the end of our stay the water was hardly going away (probably due to stuck hair).

Aquapark was impossible to be used by my kid as it's impossible to use the slides or the lazy river not having your head "pooring rained" and this feature is never switched off - my kid hates it, and the weather was not hot to let it be even acceptable.

Overal there is a feeling the hotel just needs better management/maintenance and better thinking on details. Some examples: coffee house only serves coffee and sweets. Obviously, when a parent visits it with a kid, the kid would prefer to have ice cream other than just waiting to go for an ice creat to the other side of the resort. And in ice cream house coffee machine and some sweets would be nice not to make you just sit and wait with others eat ice cream you do not want. Lots of minors like this lead to the lack of comfort.

The line is Starbucks coffee machine is huge all day long. I managed to see 1-2 people there only at 7.30am before my morning swim.

Pavilions are pretty pricey (2500-350 euros per day), need to be booked a week in advance and have poor service - you can wait for half an hour to see the waiter and another half an hour to get your drinks. And they do not give you the bag/hat that is announced to be included in the price ("sorry, we ran out of them"). But the pavillion restaurant was pretty nice.

We also had a safety issue in the room - our 3y.o. locked himself in the bathroom and the lock that is supposed to be easily opened from outside did not work - had to urgently call a handiman, who arrived in 7min, opened the door and set up the lock properly. All locks have to work properly as they are supposed to! This is another issue of proper maintenance and having reasonable protocals and processess to be followed.

Average hotel that shouldn’t have the Rixos Premium Badge
Pros:

Having stayed at the Rixos Premium in Belek in the summer, which has to be said is incredible, I was expecting a similar standard from this hotel. Sadly that wasn’t the case, let me start with some of the positives. The location is stunning, the surrounding mountains are an incredible backdrop, the beaches is lovely, the gardens are beautifully landscaped and from the main restaurant the view out to see from the raised deck is a great way to start your day.

Then the negatives, it was nigh on impossible to book in to the A La Carte restaurants and I complained daily to no avail, at one point just to try and eat some nice food, decided to pay the surcharge for one of the A La Carte restaurants…… I’ll discuss that later.

The staff, barring the odd individual, (Said at the beach bar was excellent, the head barmen in both the Sports Bar and the main entertainment bar although I couldn’t remember their names) were pretty much grumpy throughout and took little interest in anyone. Waiter service anywhere was non existent.

As discussed I had issues booking restaurants as they were always full on the app, although walk past them every evening and they were half empty but funny enough if you pay a surcharge guaranteed to get in a restaurant. The main buffet restaurant which due to not being able to book the A La Carte we had to eat in most nights was not great, food, although generally hot looked completely unappetizing and generally tasted the same.

It states in the brochure there is a Starbucks………it’s a coffee machine at the end of a bar.

So back to the restaurant we did pay for, for our family of 4 plus my daughter who will only eat chips, the meal came to €135. I don’t mind paying for nice food but this was average, pre starters came out and were placed on the table without being told what each dish was, the starters came out and they hadn’t even cleared the plates of the previous course, this happened again with the main courses, we had to keep getting the waiters attention to get drinks, the food was average at best and they charged me €15 for my daughters meal….. effectively chips. They did however take that off when I complained.

All of the pools were freezing other than one, which meant everyone went to that pool, if you wanted a bed around the pool you had to be there at 8am to get one. Never had this issue at Belek,

So my honest opinion, if you are looking for great service, great food, loads of sun beds, and an around stunning hotel, please book Rico’s Premium Belek. It may cost a little more but it’s worth every penny.

Unfortunately we were excited by this holiday but wouldn’t return again, whilst we are pricing up a return to Rixos Premium Belek again next summer

A gem in a tTurkish azure bay.
Pros:

We had a wonderful two weeks! The hotel is beautifully maintained — the rooms are clean, stylish, and very comfortable. The bay and the sea are absolutely stunning, with plenty of interesting spots to explore. I felt happy and relaxed knowing that my children were always entertained, whether in the kids’ club or on the beach, and that they easily made new friends. We will definitely come back!

Feels like you get a lot more than what you paid for.
Pros:

The location is about 1.5 hours from the airport, sounds a bit long but definitely worth it. The mountains and sea line are stunning, as is the resort itself, don’t let the transfer put you off. We stayed in a duplex villa, double bed and 2 sofa beds. We chose this because we like to have a lounge space to hang out in, if not for you, go for the double and twin beds at the expense of a lounge area. The Duplex was perfect, clean, spacious, swim up pool, lovely decor, 2 x mini bars (included) restocked daily, coffee machine, 2 xTV if you want that (the TV’s do not allow you to cast from your phone so you may want to bring your own HDMI if you need it for kids TV.

We found the bars and food excellent, ranging from chicken nuggets for kids etc to shell on king prawns, sushi, beef, excellent quality. Although there could be more vegetarian options, but enough there regardless. Pancake and waffle station was a winner in the mornings.

We did try the A la carte one evening (first come first serve with the reservations), and decided to stick with the buffet dinner as there were more options for the kids (11+13).

All staff were excellent, from the moment we arrived till we left. Great service, friendly and never an issue to help you. We loved the WhatsApp group they set up for our room, drop them a message for extra snacks, drinks etc in the room and it’s sorted in less then 20 minutes. Great idea, especially if you aren’t some one that likes call reception or asking directly.

Starbucks and ice cream bars were also very much appreciated and taken full advantage of. You can also get cornets, magnums etc from the Vista bar on the beach.

Table service to your lounger from the bar via QR code, again excellent service.

My wife took advantage of a number of beachfront yoga classes etc and loved it.

Evening entertainment was good, great bands if that’s your thing.

We would normally leave the resort to explore but we didn’t leave once because it was such a lovely place to be in.

If you want a great holiday, with something for everyone, I really would recommend Rixos, you won’t be disappointed. We will be back, especially for the autumn half-term

Very disappointing
Pros:

Very disappointed with this stay. Not the 5* experience we are used to in Turkey. Travelled with my husband and 2 teenaged children. We have been coming to Turkey during October half term for the last 7 years and stayed in various resorts as we like to try somewhere new each time. This was the worst stay we have had in Turkey.

It started with arrival, very underwhelming as no arrival drinks. No matter how late we have arrived at other hotels there has always been water, juice etc being offered while we check in. Receptionist then tells us our room has been upgraded but when we get to it we have exactly what we booked which was a 2 bed deluxe family room in the main building.

The room was nice, I wouldn’t describe it as ‘deluxe’ it was clean, comfortable & modern however poorly designed barely any storage or drawer space and quite small compared to other hotel family suites we have stayed in.

The hotel itself is beautiful, nice decor, well kept, very clean and grounds are well maintained. However the service is what lets this place down, definitely not 5*. Buffet restaurant was the worst, had to seek waiters out each day to ask for drinks they are not attentive at all. In other hotels as soon as they see your glass almost empty they are rushing over to refill or ask if you would like another. Not here, even sometimes after asking for drinks the waiter would disappear off and not come back so we would have to flag someone else down and ask again, then wait another 10mins for them to arrive. The patisserie was also bad for this, twice we went in there and either got ignored or had to wait ages for our coffee’s. Again nice setting just awful service.

A lot of the staff are quite rude and not friendly at all , with the exception of one or two who went out of their way to have a joke and actually smile and interact with us. This can make you feel quite uncomfortable when using the bars/restaurants.

The food is nice but very repetitive, same things every day and never hot. All the dishes are luke warm so not enjoyable. No theme nights which is what we have experienced in other hotels which make for a welcome change. This made us want to utilise the al a carte visits however this leads us to our next awful experience……

The booking system for the a la carte restaurants is a joke. If you don’t get logged in at precisely 10am they get booked up. We Managed to get the Mandarin reservation on our 3rd day, which was exceptionally good. The food and service offered in there was excellent. We then tried for the rest of the week to get the Mexican but couldn’t, I keep getting an error message come up in the app, it would kick me out and then by the time I logged back in it said the restaurant was fully booked, so frustrating. We did manage to get the Turkish on our last night, the service in here was also very good but food a bit disappointing.

The waterpark is good but unfortunately 2 of the main slides were shut off during our stay so we only visited twice as it became a bit boring for the kids. It is also quite out of the way from anything so doesn’t make you want to spend any time down there as nowhere to get any snacks or drinks while the kids use the park.

Overall we were very let down with this hotel, compared to what we have experienced previously in Turkey (for less money too) we would not return here.

Quite disappointing for a Rixos! Will not be returning.
Pros:

Quite disappointing for a Rixos, would not return. Please read, honest review.
As a family of 2 adults and 1 child, we have been to Rixos The Palm Dubai and Rixos Premium Belek both during August and both hotels exceeded our expectations in all aspects with the main focal point being the incredible service. For this reason we chose to holiday at another Rixos with the only difference being, we travelled during October which was cheaper than August but we accepted that we were not garunteed the same weather (and this was the case as we had a real mix of weather, it was significantly cooler and at times chilly and very overcast but we had some good sunny days too).

We still expected the same service but sadly this was not the case. This hotel is set in a beautiful location, the grounds are picturesque and there are good facilities for children. The rooms are modern and clean BUT designed poorly and impractical for a number of reasons.

We arrived after a long transfer and there was no welcome drink, not even offered a bottle of water. We were told our room had been upgraded (it had not, an unnecessary lie, it was exactly what we booked).

We booked a deluxe double room with sea view for 3 people. Our bed was comfortable and the pillows were good quality but our daughter was expected to sleep on a single fold out chair / sofa bed which was not only small but rock hard and extremely uncomfortable. As a result she ended up in bed with us for the duration of the holiday even after several attempts to try and soften the chair with quilts etc. She constantly fell through the gap in the middle of our two beds which were pushed together.

Our room was on the first floor in the main block and the first thing we noticed was the aircon was not working, it was cooler in the corridor than in our room. We were lied to by reception several times who said they had sent an engineer to “fix the air con”, this “game” went on for 2 days, the room was 26-27degrees at night, not pleasant and we spoke to several other guests who also complained for the same reason. In a nutshell the hotel shut air con off during winter season and only have the fans on despite it being advertised by TUI as a room with air con they fob off everyone and don’t explain the truth to guests, this resulted in us being unable to unpack properly as we were waiting a room change. On the third day this eventually happened, our new room had air con but still not fully functioning. The sink was blocked and we had waste coming up every time we used it like other peoples hair shavings. The tv didn’t work and the shower overflowed and flooded the room several times so we had to keep pausing mid shower to allow the water to drain and mop up the water with towels. The toilet stank of stale urine so bad we purchased our own bleach and wipes and cleaned it ourselves. There was only half a cupboard with a few hangers for 3 persons clothing to hang, no drawers and very little space for access to clothing.

The biggest bug bare was the awful system used to book the all a carte restaurant’s which you are allowed to visit once during your stay. Other reviews mention this awful system so I won’t go on, we were informed that it was due to change after so many complaints to management, it simply doesn’t work. Every day was a fight to get booked into a restaurant, you can’t book in advance only on the day, the main Buffett was pretty poor. No themed nights, lukewarm food, repetitive and disappointing compared to other Rixos.

The service was a joke, we were ignored every time we sat in the lobby and waited on average 20 minutes to be served. Staff were rude and inattentive. At the main Buffett we struggled to get their attention and in the end it was quicker to clean our own table, fetch our own cutlery and set ourselves up.

Around the pool there were only ever 1 or 2 staff taking drinks orders. Again if you wanted a drink it was best to go to the bar ourselves. Cocktails were often pre mixed or out a machine, everything served in plastic cups, again nothing like Belek or the palm!

The lazy river and water park shut quite early in the day, this was a shame and there was nowhere close to get a drink after this time either.

The only time we experienced some form of good service was at the all a carte resturants (including the Italian which we paid for) and when we paid £250 to hire a cabana for the day.

We travelled with friends who experienced all the same issues as us (excluding aircon issues as they stayed in a 2 bed family room which is not part of the main hotel).

Upon checkout we were not asked how our stay was, we were not wished a pleasant journey home we were just billed and told we couldn’t get a receipt as the machine didn’t work.

We complained several times to guest relations during our stay, in order to get moved rooms, to get the sink unblocked, to get the tv fixed, to mention the poor service and the restaurant booking issues. Guest relations were able to occasionally help with restaurant bookings but this caused us stress every day and we could not plan our days/evenings in advance.

Even though we were told the hotel was at full capacity we were also informed that they had less staff working compared to summer months… this made no sense as it was very obvious the extra staff were needed!

Sadly we will not be returning to this hotel.

Beautiful location but disappointing Hotel. Could be amazing! Rixos need to address.
Pros:

We travelled here 4 adults 1 child 16th October. Late Check in was quick, no drink offered and for speed we took our own cases to the room! We knew it was nearing the end of the season, however we have travelled start and end of season before with no issues. Here it was clear, staffing levels were a issue. We understand variabilisng thier costs end of seasons but this should be weather / capacity dependant and it clearly wasn’t.
We’ve done 12 hotels in Turkey and love thier sister site in Belek, and this is a cheaper alternative, although some people we talked to. Paid premium price. Had we paid that we wouldn’t be happy.
Main likes, the location is lovely mountains and cove sea make for a lovely sea experience it’s at lot calmer than the sea in Belek / Lara and it was warmer than the heated pool. It it however couple degrees cooler so bare this in mind when travelling at start or end of season.
Service round the pool was excellent, we were well looked after. Bit annoyed they removed the QR codes half way through the holiday but the waiter more than made up for it. The hotel itself and grounds are lovely, very spacious and lush green which we love. However massive issue was the aircon. In the main building it registered 26 degrees at night, to be told the air con in that building had been disabled and only the fan worked due to end of season. We complained heavily to TUI Managment which 3rd night in resulted in a room change to an upper floor 2 bed villa with non centrally controlled air con. This was lucky as the heat was ruining the holiday at night with not being able to sleep. The new room change made a massive difference. Annoyed that we felt lied to and other families in the next block didn’t have this issue, so seemed to be just the main building attached to reception. The room beds were very comfy which is a massive thing for us so couldn’t complain there, the showers were tiny and the water pressure wasn’t great. They provided a hairdryer which was pretty decent, However to be told not to complain anymore as they’d fixed it for me was annoyed, my response was so long as we don’t have any more issues, I won’t!
The Ala carts are lovely can be a bit of a nightmare to book but the WhatsApp assistant helped with this, especially when we tried to book the payable Italian. The mandarin and Italian were lovely, Turkish was disappointing, we’ve had better, the buffet was monotonous in the evening and heavily Eastern European geared with stews etc, but always found some on thing to eat. BIL said it was the nicest pizza he’d ever had! The service for drinks at the buffet was terrible, often got our own drinks in the morning and had eaten our evening meal before getting a drink.
The pattisery and Starbucks were disappointing, Starbucks is so far away from the pool, we just ordered iced coffees from the pool bar and were actually nicer! The patisserie was sub par, lacking choice and variety and didn’t do cold drinks etc. we were spoiled with Godiva at Belek so didn’t use much. People’s restaurant had limited choice, but always had something.
Housekeeping we felt was cursory , bed made, bins emptied, towels replaced and that was it. A housekeeper also asked my husband to exchange dollars for euro, which we felt was a bit unprofessional.
Pool- we had a massive issue with this, there wasn’t enough beds, even though they were comfy ones. The heated pool only had a ladder with no steps so mobility access was an issue in and was too small. The other pool that wasn’t heated was salt water and freezing and the step in was massive so still mobility issue! The tiles around the pool were a death trap slippy and no staff mopping to reduce the risk. Putting a wet floor sign down doesn’t absolve them of any legal responsibility to provide a safe walking space. There wasn’t enough beds also an unsecured metal plate covering a hole in the floor by the pool. The drains by the pool bar stunk of raw sewerage and deeply unpleasant. My husband also had 2 pairs of sunglasses stolen and were not sure by who, but suspicious they were never handed in if ‘lost’. The kids club didn’t use as niece made friends but did use the water park. However it had restricted operating times which was annoyed and can only assume it was due to staffing levels and costs for the end of the season.
We felt that staff we did encounter were friendly enough but there was clearly not enough of them to provide a decent level of service.
Would I come back? For the right price, yes, but not in October. The end of season shouldn’t mean end of decent service.

Rixos premium Terikorova
Pros:

This is a review just to give families a true insight into this resort. This is particular let down as we booked through TUI, and expected higher levels of customer service. Staff at all areas of the resort are not friendly or welcoming and usually gather between themselves. They avoid greeting or serving guests so please be prepared to wait to place drink orders. Also staff do not speak English. The a la carte restaurant booking service is particularly disappointing and they use a poor first come first serve booking service. We arrived during off peak season and still struggled to book a table for dinner. The 1 restaurant we did manage to secure a booking, the restaurant was empty so I’m not sure how the booking service works. Also be prepared the a la carte menus are very limited. This is also the same for the buffet restaurant, there are very limited options for young children.

The housekeeping service is fairly poor, towels, and mini bar drinks are not replenished. The room was not cleaned well at all.

We arrived during off season which we were not aware off. So half of the bars/ restaurants were closed, there is no Rixy restaurant for children, there are no wonderfully character shows as advertised. The children has the same evening entertainment every day.

Additional we were not told that sports activities are an additional charge of €30 for tennis, padel, basketball court use.

Online the resort advertises fridges located throughout the resort filled with a range of drinks which you can help yourself too. But this is false, the had water only and were usually empty and warm.

Toilets are poorly cleaned and the beach area is not well kept.

I would not recommend this resort to families.

Definitely NOT premium or even that good
Pros:

We’ve just returned from a week at Rixos Premium, and I want to start by saying this review might come across as harsh, but that’s only because our last trip to Turkey was at the Voyage Belek, which was genuinely one of the best hotels we’ve ever stayed in. By comparison, Rixos Premium felt really average across the board.

First off, it shouldn’t be called Premium. Everything about it feels a bit sloppy or half-done. The staff are okay - not particularly unfriendly but not particularly attentive either. That said the tennis pro was actually quite rude. Most of the team seem to be trying, but the overall service just lacks polish and consistency.

The food was fine, but nothing special. We often found ourselves struggling to find something we really fancied, which says a lot for a buffet. The à la carte restaurants were a nightmare to book. The app system doesn’t work well and it’s impossible to get a booking, we only managed to get reservations after complaining several times. That said, the Chinese and Mexican restaurants were both excellent once we finally got in.

The facilities themselves are decent - we enjoyed the tennis and paddle courts - but again, everything feels like it’s running just below the standard you’d expect from a so-called “premium” resort.

The beach is lovely, overall it’s a really great space and should have so much potential.

And finally, the rooms… probably the worst designed hotel rooms we’ve stayed in. Really awkward layouts and not well thought through at all.

Overall, it’s not a terrible hotel, but it’s nowhere near the level of the Voyage or any true five-star experience. It’s average at best, and definitely not worth the “Premium” name.

The holiday was at the Rixos hotel, which is advertised as a five-star establishment, yet my experience fell significantly short of the expected standard.
⚠️ Key Issues Experienced
• Lack of Air Conditioning (A/C): We experienced a complete lack of functional air conditioning throughout our stay. Despite multiple complaints, we were informed that the system only provided air flow and not cooling. The resulting high temperature in the room, both day and night, made sleeping impossible for the duration of the holiday. This is unacceptable for a five-star hotel.
• Impossible Restaurant Booking via App: We were unable to book restaurants for the evenings using the hotel's app. This should not be an issue at a resort of this caliber. The inability to easily secure evening dining reservations through the advertised digital platform caused significant unnecessary stress and inconvenience.
• Freezing Cold Children's Water Slides: The water in the children's water slide area was freezing cold and clearly not heated. This severely limited our children's ability to use the facility, which was a primary reason for selecting this hotel. Had we been informed of this facility issue prior to booking, we would have chosen a different resort.
• Poor Customer Service at Checkout: Upon checkout, the service at the desk was extremely poor. We were not asked any standard questions regarding our stay, such as "How was your holiday?" or if we had any feedback or complaints. This lack of acknowledgment or interest in the customer's experience, especially after the issues we faced, was a clear display of bad customer service.

Excellent hotel, service and amenties.
Pros:

Recently stayed here for a week with my children. The hotel and grounds are picturesque. The variety of restaurants cater to all needs and are immaculate. The A'la Cartes are easy enough to book via the system, my watsapp assistant Kaan was fantastic. The Rixy kids club provides outstanding care and service towards the children with a huge variety of educational activities. I enjoyed my stay so much that I am returning in 2026 with more family members due to my recommendation.
