False advertising. Don’t get a working fireplace as per photos
Pros:

Large rooms

Cons:

Location was too far from town centre and the whole reason we booked this hotel room was the fireplace. Paid a bit extra looking for something cozy and romantic. Pictures showed a working fireplace only to be told they don’t work.

Pros:

Everything was nice and tidy thought the prices for the wine was resonable.

Cons:

The bed with the join in the middle also the comfort. And the spa bath was a bit small.

Our Heritage Suite is a level above the standard hotel room and good for its quietness, spaciousness
Pros:

Spacious well presented room with an element of elegance, plus the supply of glasses, china and cutlery to enable us to prepare our own breakfast.

Cons:

Given the coolness of the evening on our 5.30 pm arrival, it would have been nice if the room heating had been turned on to remove the initial chilliness.

Apart from the noise at nighttime, the stay was excellent.
Pros:

Great view, first time travelling by myself. Handy to shops and restaurants. The room was spacious and comfortable.

Cons:

At nighttime had to pull the card out of its wall socket due to the noise (Humming sound). Meant power was lost but it did not matter as was going to bed.

Perfect stay and great shopping area, close to the beach, and food,all with in walking distance
Pros:

We had a lovely sea view, and found the room was very clean and relaxing, the crown was a rare find loved our stay and will definitely be back.

This is our place of choice when in Hawke’s Bay. Great location, comfortable bed with great parking

Pros:

Exceptionally clean. Loved the dishwasher! And balcony.

Cons:

Bed not as comfortable as other places we stayed. Maybe ready for upgrading. Shook every time partner moved. Would also like full length hanging as dresses crease in the small space.

Great location but needs TLC
Pros:

Great location and excellent staff

Cons:

Didn’t meet expectations, wanted the old style but on arrival it was worn, aged carpet and dusty as. Marks to walls etc. Stairwell also has no light bulb, reported it as dodgy coming down the stairs in heals in the dark, staff said maintenance away and wasn’t replaced.Needs some TLC and attention to detail. 1 towel each, no spa towels and no hand soap. Seemed to be cutting costs for an over $300 a night room
