Comfortable value for money place to stay.
Pros:

The room was as described, recently renovated and clean, albeit a little cold despite the radiator being very hot. The bed was a good size and very comfortable.
The meal in the Bistro restaurant was good.

Cons:

The Bistro restaurant was somewhat noisy initially but better after a wedding party moved out.
The kitchen also closes at 20:30 and we only just managed to get a dessert.

Great value , location , breakfast and staff - compare this to a chain hotel and they would win
Pros:

Ok so travelling with work , location is great . Parking well there’s limited parking but also a paid car park 20 yards away . Think it’s pay up till 5 pm and after 8 or 9 .

Hotel staff are great , breakfast fab , large clean room . Definitely be back .

Whickham has a couple of Indian restaurants and pubs , favourites Jamdani Indian and one eyed stag micro pub :

Overall great visit and hotel thank you

Cons:

Nothing really , been picky shower works well but dated as in no microphone type head but I’m definitely been picky

Great value , location , breakfast and staff - compare this to a chain hotel and they would win hands down :

Pros:

This is a gem of a hotel. The staff are friendly and helpful, the food is good and reasonably priced. The views across the town from the bar are lovely. It is about 5 minutes by car from the Metro Centre.

There is nothing that I can think of.

Pros:

Bathrooms clean good hot shower and reasonable space .
Bed comfortable and room warm . This is February.
Dining room pleasant and breakfast quite good although the heating was turned up too high .
Value for money .
Location good to restaurants and bars .

Not too noisey although didn't seem to be too many people in on the Sunday .
Occasional service wagon at the rear . But I slept ok .

Cons:

Staff mixture of helpfulness and attitude. Generally favorable could be better reception.

Pros:

Breakfast was delicious and plenty of it, set us up for the busy day ahead. Lady who served us was lovely and friendly!

Cons:

Room 206 was very clean and comfortable but needs attention to the ceiling and hand basin tap and general decor.
