Disappointing. Don’t stay if there is an event/party on
Pros:

The location was good

Cons:

The bed was so tiny, it was a small double not a full size double. I’m 5.5 and my feet were hanging off the end. Shower takes 10 mins to heat up there was a party on in the marquee and it was outrageously loud. The bass was shaking the room till midnight and could barely hear the television over the party noise
I wouldn’t be staying again as not much rest was had

Fabulous- Best weekend away but would be good for longer stays
Pros:

The breakfast was fabulous. Lots of choice, buffet at weekends, cooked fresh mid week. Everything from fresh fruit to full cooked, never had a better breakfast choice.
We stayed in a suite with a balcony (room 6) couldn't have asked for better. Only one suggestion would be a bed topper, king size bed, but the mattress was a bit hard and lumpy.
We was contacted before our stay because they have a gazebo in the grounds outside of this room. A function was taking place until 11.30 with a live band. We didnt think this would be an issue we could just listen to the music. Infact on the evening once we closed the room doors you couldn't hear the music over your own TV. It wasn't an issue at all, but excellent communication from the staff beforehand.
The rooms are spotlessly clean. We witnessed the hotel being cleaned by lovely staff every morning.
The bar area is cosy and pleasant with a good bar with hight quality drinks
The restraunt is reasonably priced with very nice food. Good prices and quality and excellent choice.

Cons:

Not better but a couple of suggestions
Have cheese and onion pie as a vegetarian choice.
Bed topper on the mattress to soften it a little
Cocktail menu on display
