This place is absolutely dreadful. The room was filthy, the bedding was stained with age, the towels were threadbare. The safe didn't working the wifi didn't exist. We arrived at 9.30am and breakfast was supposed to be served until 10am, there was no food in sight in the breakfast area. The carpets were filthy in the hallway and the lift door was also filthy
There were cigarette butts in the pkants on the balcony, the hotel is supposed to be a non smoking establishment .
I would avpidstaying at the place at all costs.
We left after 30mins and we were not asked why we were leaving at all.
Ok når du vil bo mitt i walking street ,kort vei til alt ,togstasjon 5min taxi kr 20,
Det är ett enstjärnigt hotell så…,
Inget varmvatten när jag checkade in. Varmvattenberedaren var inte ens påslagen.
Bra läge dock.
Trevlig och hjälpsam personal.
Great hotel great location but if you have little ones or go to bed early make sure you get a room in the back because the music at walking Street in front is quite loud, but it does go down at 11 and then it stops at midnight
Also, this walking street is perfect for families. There were lots of children running around as well.
The staff are very friendly and helpful. They made several phone calls for us to rent the motorcycle.
Very nice hotel very friendly and helpful and front deck + restaurant service so amazing. One server long so smart and helpful . Thank you everyone. John and new. I hope everyone will be busy with more guests. The hotel getting more guests . O yes I in injoy the fruits and coffee and yogurts. And the room service too. Very detailed. Stay happy and keep smiling 😃.
1st time in Hue and decided to try a hotel... Location is not bad, checked in with a nice guy but the room was horrible I was "forced" to stay in a twin bedded room which was not good as I was travelling alone. After which the next room I was offered was way smaller and also the aircon and fridge wasnt working eventually I stayed in the twin bedded room and then the tv didnt work... I had to wait till the next day for them to fix the tv for me... The aircon didnt work well even after they fixed it.. Very disappointing... The breakfast was really quite sad too, omelettes with pancakes that were tasteless... Ah well you pay for what you get I guess I skipped breakfast on the last day to go to the market which had way better food! To top things up even when my room was on DND or privacy they still entered my room to switch off my lights!!! Invasion of privacy to the max.. When I complained bout my issues they apologized but offered no form of compensation or anything.. Very disappointing stay and I will never stay there again! Plus points though, the room has a pretty balcony which is good but that is all...
Our guide booked us in here during a motorbike trip through Vietnam. Whilst it may have been acceptable in a remote area, in Hue I would definitely invest a little more for a better hotel. Very dirty, noisy and dated. I’ve only given it an extra star due to the very good staff.
The staff was very friendly. The rooftop pool clean but small. Nothing there to chill. The room was not in a good condition. In front of the Hotel is the walking street, so it's very loud untill 2 at night. Breakfast was very low. But yeah, as I told, the staff was very friendly....
The hotel is not than modern anymore as it seems on the pictures (I guess they are photoshopped...) But anyway, the rooms are spacious and clean. The bathroom with bathtube and hot water kind of that what we needed. They offer laundry service, which was really fast and you can rent some scooters there. There is also a pool on the rooftop.
A big plus: breakfast!! The granny is making fresh eggs on your order and they have also pancakes, fruits, bread eg.
The beds are a bit to hard for my back, but thats just my opinion and honestly - its not even 20$ a night - so why complain!!!
수영장이 너무 작네요
This property is right on the edge of the backpacker / European tourist hotel / night club district in Hue. The district is blocked off from Hue's crazy traffic in the evening so you can stroll without much care at being run down by a motorbike. It is a couple of blocks from the river with access by foot, if you are brave, across the two bridges to The Citadel. If you need to have breakfast with Europeans or are looking for continental fare, you are in the wrong hotel. The Ideal seems to cater to Asian tourists. A large party of Vietnamese were all over the small breakfast room the morning after I arrived. A frequently changing staff were uniformly friendly and accommodating to my lack of any effective Vietnamese language skill.
in 2010, I stayed in Ideal hotel with my friend and I liked this. So, this time, I booked a room (deluxe family room with 2 double bed). I still feel amazing. Room is pretty huge and clean, a balcony you can drink, smoke and enjoy Hue city. Moreover, Ideal located at Vo Thi Sau st. On Saturday, they have night market and walking street. There are two awesome restaurant just in font of hotel.
Hotel probably ideal a few years ago ...
It starts smelling humidity as soon as you enter the elevator.
Renovation is necessary, for the rooms, the smelly carpet, even the swimming is not kept in a good state.
If you book a room there for a cheap price, then you should be happy, but don't expect an ideal hotel, and don't expect neither the kind of room you have booked.
Nice breakfast is also just only true for the advertising of the hotel.
Only positive points : the staff is nice, they try to do their best for you, as they are already aware (and probably ashamed) of all problems you are telling them. And the location is central.
So go only if you cannot find another option.
People are not friendly, room has really bad smell, old stuffs, broken, we asked them to fix, but nobody came. Swimming pool is only for decoration. Expensive for nothing...
You should search another hotel.
Unfortunately I can not recommend to stay in this hotel! Room is very dirty, bath is very dirty, window and curtains are very, very dirty!!! Balcony is more then dirty! I had to demand to vacuum the room and get away the garbage under the beds, I washed by myself tables and bath. I had to demand change linens. Another linens was the same - grey, stains on the sheets. We did not leave this hotel only because staff was very helpful and made all our requests. Thank to them very much! And I am very sorry, that you have to work in this terrible place!
Nice place to stay... rooms are clean, great breakfast every morning, the staff are very friendly and was able to cool off in the roof top pool to boot... we got there early and they let us in, no charge... big bonus!!
WiFi only in the foyer, light breakfast, English speaking ability not as good as other places. Good location that is close to the busier areas without being too close. Hired bicycles which were wobbly but the best way to see Hue.
We enjoyed our stay here. Comfortable beds with a cozy balcony. The breakfast was plentiful with multiple choices including a freshly made to order omelette/eggs. The A/C quit during our stay but was promptly fixed. The only issue I had was that there was some water slowly dripping in the bathroom from upstairs and the curtains were hard to operate due to being old. The staff was very friendly and helpful. we booked a Suite room with balcony on the 6th floor.
What a disaster. This hotel is proof that pictures lie. I have been traveling to Vietnam for 10 years and this is the worst hotel I know. It looks nothing like the publicity photos. You are first greeted with the rusted ceiling tiles about ready to tumble down. The elevator didn't work. Fortunately I only had to walk up 5 flights of stairs. The doorknob was falling off and it took 5 minutes to work the key. The carpets are filthy. The bed was almost collapsed, the room dirty, the walls filthy. I have never seen a worse bathroom. There was no hot water and what water there was dribbled like dog piss down a rock. The bathtub was falling apart and the plug did not work. The day receptionist spoke enough English to say Hello, and Can I help you. The night receptionist spoke no English. They were, however pleasant, and I felt very sorry they worked in such a dump.
