Everything was good except that they did not provide towels

Mediocre experience not typical of Protea.
Pros:

Clean, spacious rooms with comfortable beds. The hotel is conveniently located to most amenities. Friendly staff who put in their best efforts to ensure that their guests have a pleasant stay. The rooms had working TVs though with limited channels.

Cons:

Breakfast was poor, potatoes served weren't fully cooked. Bathing towels in the rooms were not changed despite being there for 3 nights. Also, the room had one towel even though when we'd booked a double room. Tea and coffee in the room were not restocked unless requested via the reception. Disappointed with the A/C quality in the rooms.

the checkin process and the change of our room, when the initial room spelt like a toilet.

Cons:

no towels in the room, you had to request it and then wait for them to bring it to you, by the second day I did not even bother to ask.

For a Protea Hotel - shocking!!!
Pros:

Nothing.

Cons:

Aircon was not working. Reported, by the time I came back later that day nothing had been done.
Noise from Hatfield Square - the club may as well be in your bedroom.
Carpets not clean, walked around in my white socks which became brown.

Good affordable accommodation in Hatfield
Pros:

Great staff! They have a decent restaurant on the property as well. Great buffet breakfast as well.

Cons:

My room's aircon was extremely noisy and loud, it's definitely in need of a fixing, it made it difficult to sleep. The hotel is also situated around a few noisy clubs and restaurants.
