Pros:

The room was small, but perfectly adequate and very clean. Rooftop deck has great view of the beach and was a great place to take the complimentary happy-hour glass(es) of wine to watch the sunset. Included breakfast was good. Parking is free, but only ~10 spaces under the building. We always found a space, but perhaps more iffy during a busier time of year.

Fabulous Location. Great Hospitality
Pros:

Right across the street from the beach. Great breakfast. Happy hour has wine, snacks and hot soup. If you’ve had a big lunch you can skip dinner. Staff was very helpful. Rooms were lovely, though not American large. More than adequate for a couple.

Pros:

Manager Saeed was extremely helpful. I needed to have package delivered to my friend outside of Tel Aviv but my stay at Maxim was limited from Friday morning to Sunday early morning when all Post Offices were closed. Saeed offered to ship package himself. When he saw the address, he realized that it is along his planned trip on Saturday. He offered to deliver it personally and he did! Thank you so much Saeed.

short but nice stay at Maxim!
Pros:

Easy check in (as super late as it was - but the front desk was as friendly as could be).
Good AC, tasty breakfast, and oh so close to the beach. Great views from the rooftop terrace as well.

Pros:

It was a beautiful hotel , with wonderful art, but the whole place lacks warmth. For the price we paid, there was no one to help with our bags and there was a problem that was eventually fixed with our wifi. People on the whole were

Pros:

The property is very old and outdated, very crowded and loud guests. When I asked for a bigger bed and room I was ignored. Extremely disappointing. Location is nice by the beach but that’s all.

Hospitable and Comfortable; A Gem of a Hotel
Pros:

The Maxim Hotel is definitely your home away from home when in Tel Aviv. I stayed there for one month while volunteering in Israel and it was really special. The people are wonderful, Saeed the manager goes out of his way to accommodate his guests, and Miss Juanita playing the piano in the lobby is magical. Rotem, David, Tanya and Rochelle (staff) made me feel welcomed and like family. Breakfast is delicious and plentiful. Evening Happy Hour with tasty treats, delicious soup, wine and coffee/tea is a lovely gift from the hotel. I met so many incredible travelers during soup hour.
The location is convenient with the beach just across the street and down some steps. The rooftop sun deck was my favorite place to relax, read a book and watch the sunset. I had a single room that was austere, but comfortable. Housekeeping does an excellent job keeping the room clean and refreshed daily. The upgraded bathroom was a bonus, especially the rain showerhead.
I loved staying at the Maxim Hotel because it was comfortable, welcoming, and exceptionally hospitable, plus a definite value for the money. Highly recommended.

Great stay, will return.
Pros:

I stayed here for two weekends and each weekend was great. The rooms are clean. Breakfast is great and every evening they have happy hour with free wine, delicious soup and snacks. 24/7 they have assorted cookies, teas and coffees available. Each room has a kettle and a fridge. Their roof top offers a great view of the beach and is a great place to relax. The owner is very nice and often walks around talking to guests and is very welcoming to people who come to Israel to volunteer. It is across the street from the beach and a 20 minute walk to the shuk.

Pros:

Loved the hotel. My only suggestion would be to provide regular hair dryers rather than the old models on the wall. They do not have enough power and are too hot to hold.

Perfect Place to Stay
Pros:

Warm welcome, fabulous location, clean, room had all one needed , comfortable sleep, Beautiful sea view and sunset. Complimentary coffee and cookies all day. We checked out very early in the morning and were offered a very fresh and delicious breakfast in a bag, very much appreciated! We also mentioned that we volunteered through the Sword of Iron and were offered a generous discount on the room. Highly recommend and would stay here again for sure!

Safe and friendly
Pros:

A home from home, a real treat. I came here for a week to do volunteering through swords of iron and with the amazing Revital. The bedroom was a good size, clean and well equipped.
The large lounge dining area was the focus of the social aspect of this Hotel. The other guests were so friendly and so willing to make new friends. The delightful Juanita played the piano for us regularly to professional standard.
Where else do people flock to happy hour for soup and wine?
Many thanks to Saeed for his calmness, organisational skills, support and warm, caring welcome
Definitely the place to stay if you want to be near the beach, restaurants, and volunteering activities . I look forward to returning.
