Grand Hotel Timeo, A Belmond Hotel, Taormina

Wow, what a great location in town for this hotel. The room was delightful, well stocked and super comfortable. The breakfast was fantastic with very special views of the coastline and Mt Edna. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The food was fresh and perfect.

We stayed in Taormina and after visiting the amphitheater we stopped for drinks on the terrace of the Grand Hotel.

The terrace area is lovely, well laid out and has fabulous views of Mount Etna.

The service from Fabio was excellent, nothing was too much trouble and a great choice of drinks plus a few complimentary snacks.

It is the service and the setting that makes a drink at the Grand Hotel a great experience.

Firstly, I cannot sufficiently elucidate the importance and impact of the hotel's greatest asset: the staff and their unending passion for service. When they ask if everything is ok, it is not rehearsed or fake and rings of true care.

Marco the sommelier in the restaurant and, quite frankly everyone we engaged with at the restaurant on the dinner of the 4th of May, was a consummate professional with true pride in what the team could offer. The recommendations we received were on the mark.

Dinner was a masterclass in delivering faultlessness execution, both in service and culinary delights. The food struck a fine balance of flavours, bringing tradition and the best of local produce to a modern reality, all framed by the unique panorama.

The hotel overall could not be better located, it is brilliantly kept, extremely clean with an unerring attention to detail. I could not find fault, and if you read my previous reviews of similar caliber hotels.... I am not shy at voicing potential improvements.

The room (junior suite) was spacious, well appointed, with a delightful balcony over the pool, enabling optimal enjoyment of the signature view. Housekeeping was particularly to be lauded.

Luxury is not a formula, it is provided by true service, care, attention to detail and a touch of the intangible "something special". Grand Hotel Timeo and their staff delivers in spades.

This is my 3rd time visiting Taormina and maybe say the best experience is meeting the one and only Fabio, he is a local from Taormina and the most charming human I’ve ever met. If you want to have a beautiful experience having a drink and a bite at grand hotel Timeo, make sure you are seated where Fabio would be catering to you because it’ll be a unique unforgettable experience. The food was excellent and the old fashion the bartender made was one of the best. It has an aftertaste of ancient ruins and you won’t know what I’m talking about until you have one.

The beauty and location of the hotel is unparalleled. The staff, no matter what their responsibility, made you genuinely feel welcomed, valued, appreciated, with extreme professionalism. I wil return and look for other Belmond properties when I travel

No denying this hotel is very expensive but for that you get stunning views, great food and excellent service.

Our stay at Grand Hotel Timeo, A Belmond Hotel, Taormina was absolutely exceptional! The service was truly six-star level – attentive, discreet, and genuinely kind. Our suite was spacious, elegant, and offered a breathtaking view of the sea and Mount Etna. The hotel itself is beautifully located, right next to the ancient Greek Theatre, in the heart of Taormina.

If you’re hesitating between Grand Hotel Timeo and San Domenico Palace, I would definitely recommend Grand Hotel Timeo.

The only small downside was the restaurant menu – a bit difficult to choose from, and it could use a refresh. Other than that, this place is pure magic!

When you don’t really expect anything good after a cancelled flight and a long night trip, when the moon is shining bright and there’s not a single taxi in the middle of the night — the hotel saves you, picks you up, welcomes you warmly. Then you lie down in bed that smells like mandarins, and in the morning you greet the sun with a smile on your face.

This hotel, set on the hillside of Taormina, has an amazing view that you never get tired of looking at. The attention and care of the staff are truly their strongest sides — special greetings to Fabio!

This hotel is pure perfection to me. Not only is it spectacularly beautiful, on every level, but everyone who works there is warm, charming and goes out of their way to make sure you have a perfect stay. The room itself was stunning, with a view to take your breath away. I actually spent hours just sitting on the terrace, just looking out. The pool was perfectly heated and beautifully kept. The food was lush, the music in the bar was a joy to listen to, the bed was heavenly, and I loved the nighttime pillow that one steps onto as one leaves the bed - like sinking your feet into a cloud. All the amenities were beautiful. Very generous arrival gifts, too. I stayed at several of the best hotels in Taormina, but the Grand Hotel Timeo was my favourite - by far. The excellence started from check-in and stayed with me long after check-out. A dream come true!

Everything from the begging to the moment we had to leave was just great! Perfect location, stunning views, great food and very carrying and attentive staff! They made our stay unforgettable and we really appreciate that!

This is a spectacular hotel with wonderful views and gardens. I went to the terrace bar a couple of times and the waiter, Ayoub treated me so well. He is going to do very well in his chosen career - a delightful young man.

We had lunch with an espectacular view of the Taormina Bay and Edna Volcano.Remarkable the service from Fabio who talk good care of us . He recommended the antipasti , linguini pasta and the white local wine . Really enjoyed it .
