Food in the canteen is not good. There are plenty of good restaurants outside hotel
Overall the hotel location is good near to the Padmanabhanswami temple.
Easily get auto from outside hotel which will drop to the temple from their walk to the temple gate.

Unprofessional and rude staffs. The hotel is looks clean from outside but the rooms are very dirty, all the staffs are very unprofessional and with cheap attitude, non of them are focused to guests and they are busy with their own things, non of the staffs are approachable, i could not even see a single smile face.... Very local staffs,
Rooms are very dirty, bed sheets were dirty and found too many hair on pillow covers and found urine on toilet cover.... Not recommended, we will never come again.

From the outside it looks like a nice hotel but the rooms are not clean. When the cupboard was opened there were cockroaches inside. The corridors has dirt that had been swept up and arranged in piles. There was no hot water available and on enquiry was told that there s was a problem with the circuit board and that we would get hot water in 5 minutes but that didn't happen. We booked this hotel because we wanted to stay close to the temple and it had good reviews. I will NEVER stay in this hotel again.

We stayed as a family for 2 days. Normal small room for small family. Essential facilities. Pest control must need, bed sheet, bed cover, pillow cover new as time to use (not reuse), sealing, tiles, main door maintenance required,
All the rooms can be improved.
What is special is that it is a place where most of the travel facilities are readily available.

Old establishment, well maintained centrally located. Whatever the shortfall is more than made up by the very helpful staff.
My mother & I visited hotel in the month of September. We had a great stay. Special mention to those manning the front desk, the house keeping staff & room service.

The KTDC Grand Chaitram, Thiruvananthapuram is a government hotel which provides quality services at affordable tariffs.

The hotel is located in the centraI Trivandrum which is the older part of the city on the main road. The Trivendrum Central Railway Station is right accross the road and Thampanoor Bus stand is adjacent to the hotel. Yet the road is remarkably congestion-free and quite. You won't hear street noise in your room. This part of the city is very well connected to all other parts of the city.
The drive to hotel from airport took around 45 minutes. Please remember that Uber & Ola are available in three or four large cities of the state. The checkin was fast and we had to wait for around 15 minutes before we were ushered into our room. We stayed from 30th May to 1st June in superior room at fourth floor . It contains a sitting room and a bed room. The rooms are spacious and have all amenities. The laundry service is fast and reasonably priced. Though there is definitely a huge language barrier, the staff are friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and house keeping is good. A small private parking is available.

The food quality and the buffet breakfast spread are average. A quicker response to service requests is desired.

The location is top notch. Most of the tourist place like Napier Museum, Zoo, Aquarium, Art Gallery, Kanakakunnu Palace, Science and Technology Museum, Planetarium etc. are within 5 km. The temple of Padmanabhanswami is around 1 km away. If you want to eat out try Aryaas Park (veg) 50 m and Azad Hotel 500 m away. One can go to Pothy Textile 500 m away for shopping clothes.

I had been a regular here earlier and used to love this place. Am getting a room here after 6-7 years. The good news is that it seems that the hotel has been really upgraded. Excellent reception, nice well appointed rooms and great ambiance. The rooms are well appointed and the restaurant is, as always, tops. This is one of the best places to stay while in Trivandrum. The prices are OK due to the excellent facilities and services. The location as is well known, roughly opposite TVC Railway Station and adjacent to Trivandrum Central KSRTC Bus Station which adds immense value.

I stayed in room 418 Requested water bottle through front office as no one pick my call from house keeping at 9:30pm but no one show up, ok they might forget but the next day morning again I called them and ask for an bottle water still they didn't deliver to my room .very poor service.

Was clean and was good excellent, service, loved it but in restaurant saw a beef in menu in such a beautiful holy Hindu town with Hindu history of more then 800 years old shame such impression, ruins out the impression of Kerala ( the gods own country) Dr. Chetan patil

It has been third day off my 6 days stay, these people have been kind to allow an early check-in but it does feel strange sometimes. Anytime I walk to the reception they ask if I want to check-out and that makes me feel very unwelcome. The location is good, so many restaurants around and its the centre of the city.

I stayed here for a few days recently and found the Hotek to be good. Some minor negatives were that the JetSpray in my room was leaking and the room had a lot of ants. Though the Ants did not trouble me it was still a eye sore. The Breakfast menu was good and satisfactory.

Spent 2 nights at the GC. Centrally located and in close proximity to train station, Padmanabaswamy temple and shopping areas. Autos and taxis readily available outside GC. Room clean and well maintained. Staff are polite and very effecient.

ok place, right in heart of city, accessible to every important location, close by to Padmanabha Swamy Temple, Pazhavangadi Ganapathy Temple, ktdc is a govt. company, poor cleanliness, none will attend even if u complain,

Hotel was good but their is no good house keeping. Do ensure proper instructions at RECEIPTION while going out. Otherwise rooms r okay and other cleanliness is good. Breakfast is also good and over all experience are average and they need to improve a lot.

Excellent rooms, close proximity to Railway station & Padmanabhaswamy Temple. Never to forget warmth by team, strict hygiene protocols along with high class hospitality make your stay comfortable and memorable.

The hotel is situated at a very convenient location, just a stone throw distance to the KSRTC central bus station and the Trivandrum Central railway station. The TVM airport is just 15 minutes drive.

Run by KTDC - hence attitude of few staff is 'cold' - but overall it was pleasant stay

Avoid rooms facing the road - it can be noisy during the day time

Stayed at Hotel Chaithram along with family and really enjoyed the hospitality of the hotel staff. Rooms were nice & clean with even cleaner bathroom with the hotel being located at the main shopping area of Trivandram. Easily accessible from all locations.

I stayed here in the month of October for 3 days during my business trip to Trivandrum. Nice and decent hotel near to the Railway Station which is just walkable. Room Service is good and the staff is friendly. However the food served in the breakfast could be a bit better.
