Lovely Old style building
I had to write this review to convey my disappointment, on the day I had to travel my daughter was seriously attacked . No compassion from such a large company, I lost the full payment.

Food and facilities were good, staff were friendly and helpful, we particularly enjoyed the swimming pool, steam room and sauna.
We weren't able to control the heating in the room, there was a valve but it was solid and wouldn't turn meaning the heating was on full blast from early morning until late at night.
My wife found the mattress to be too soft.
Room was a good, spacious size. Room temperature good. Doubtful cleanliness and attention to detail - the kettle seemed to be leaking, and we found a little bag with some ‘rocks’ on the tray, ? solidified coconut ice, which looked out of place and as if they had been there for an extremely long time. The room decor is really old and tired and requires a complete upgrade: ceiling paint cracked with really bad peeling in room and bathroom, bath panelling all coming apart and hanging off. That said, our one night stay was reasonably comfortable and as always, breakfast was very good and dining room staff friendly and efficient. We have stayed before and would go back again.

The access to the health spa and swimming pool was a lovely touch and the breakfast was tasty.
Fantastic big family room!!! I had a special request -an extra bed - this was granted ( free of charge) which was really great!

Breakfast was pricey for an adult but they did have a 3-12yrs portion which was cheaper!!

The Hotel was lovely & in a nice setting. The Staff & Facilities & Food & Accommodation were very good.
The only thing was the blue flashing light on the ceiling sensor - which was very distracting & interrupted our sleep. The room was cold - when we arrived in it. However - this was put right.
Staff were friendly and helpful. I had an issue with moths in my original room and so was moved. Receptionist and night porter were great.
Breakfast was really nice and served over 3 hours.
The moths in the original room. And although the hotel was handy for where I was going that night it's a little awkward to get to if you don't drive.
