Good option for families
Pros:

Location and proximity to National Park

Cons:

My room was on the first floor and directly between the check in desk ( and common game area) and restaurant. Because of this, it was extremely noisy well into the evening. To help with this, one of the hallway doors could’ve closed so families who are playing noisy games are not disturbing other guests in their rooms trying to sleep

Great hotel near Capitol Reef NP!
Pros:

Booked the suite and what an amazing hotel right near Capitol Reef NP! Staff were very friendly and helpful. The 2 bedroom suite itself was spacious and comfortable! The sun room design is a nice touch to enjoy the outdoor scenery. Location close to the few dining options in the immediate area (like a couple min drive). Jus ta note that there are no EV chargers on-site.

Cons:

We were banking on the included breakfast (one of the reasons we booked here). We were on an adventure road trip and there was a lot of planning around how much food we needed to pack. We had to eat one of our packed breakfasts instead of the planned hotel breakfast that we were banking on. It would have been good to be notified that breakfast wasn't actually going to be provided before-hand, so we could have prepared better.

Comfortable stay and spacious resort.
Pros:

Wonderful location near Capitol reef NP and nearby restaurants. Staff very friendly. Room and amenities were great. Suites were spacious. Pool is nice with a mix of indoor/outdoor vibes. Easy parking too. The skydeck was a nice touch. Got to see several constellations steps from my room.

Cons:

No free breakfast but there is 24/7 coffee and hot teas available. Laundry machines are a nice plus (2 of them). Would be fantastic if level 2 EV chargers are available onsite. The 120v 12amp outlet in the parking lot can only support 1 EV charging at any given time.

Excellent cozy hotel with great access to Capitol Reef National Park.
Pros:

My room was clean and quiet, and had basic but comfortable amenities. Red Sands Hotel itself is located in a great area, with easy access to Capitol Reef National Park and the town of Torrey. I loved that there was an open-air hot tub and pool area; at night it was great to sit outside and do a bit of stargazing.

Indifferent + Rude Staff. Not Ready for Primetime…

What a shock. Looks nice online, but… From the check in lady Sat night to the front of house staff Sunday morning—it has been quite sometime since I’ve experienced such aggressively indifferent and rude treatment from Hotel Staff.

I sat in the lobby and watched guest after guest struggle with the fancy broken coffee machine and even the simple pump coffee carafe was broken. Staff heads in phones and lots of no, can’t or silence. It became painful watching guest after guest struggle with the same basics over and over again.

Same rude and indifferent treatment the night before. Taken all together it soured the whole stay. Incredible. Lots of other fine choices in and around Torrey. Skip Red Sands and chose a hotel that is happy to have your business!!

The location.

Cons:

It was extremely noisy, thin walls very loud elevator. The entire place smelled like the inside of a bottle of bleach. It is a "Spa" with inadequate ventilation. There is no service after 10 pm except if you leave messages for the night staff and hope they respond.
