Hôtel de la Ferme Lamy

Lovely location quite rural farming area. Good breakfast and cordial and friendly host. I would recommend to anyone who doesn’t mind being in quite rural setting.

Ferme Lamy was pretty much an oasis of calm during our two days there. Our host Arnaud was helpful in every way possible. The pool was a beautiful and refreshing respite from the demands of tourism. Breakfasts were complete and ample. The one dinner we had there was marvelous, sitting in the shade overlooking the pool and fields. It was 3 courses. First was a delicious paté as entrée, and then the main plat was duck breast with green beans, followed by crème brulé dessert. Our room was small but comfortable. The whole experience was a “moment of zen.”

The property was beautiful. Flowers, birds chirping, lovely views and a beautiful pool. The host went above and beyond to be helpful. He served us a fabulous dinner on the patio! Only 15 minutes away from the crazy busy town but seemed a world away with quiet and peace.

We were disappointed upon arrival to learn that the onsite restaurant was closed. Our stay was at the end of the season but we were unaware of the closure. This was the only problem with our stay. At first WiFi to our room did not connect but manager/owner worked diligently and successfully got it working! The “old farm” architecture was just as we had pictured and the view of the surrounding countryside was beautiful and soothing. We enjoyed a glass of wine sitting on the large deck overlooking the infinity pool and out into the countryside on our first evening. Breakfast was above average with fresh squeezed OJ and perfect hard boiled eggs. Clean, quiet and comfortable best describes our enjoyable stay.

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour. Nous avons ete très bien accueilli. Le calme du site etait très reposant. La chambre etait parfaite. Enfin, la cuisine du soir etait délicieuse. Nous allons surrment revenir.

Wow! Een geweldige week achter de rug. Echt alles was top. Het hotel bevindt zich op een prachtige locatie. Kamer met patio in typische franse stijl was supermooi. En wat ook absoluut de beste vermelding verdient is de service. Superlieve mensen, zeer verwelkomend en de eigenaar is een geweldige kok. Elke dag een nieuwe menu om de vingers af te likken. Het zwembad met alweer een ongelooflijk uitzicht de max! Dit hotel verdient meer dan 3 sterren. Dit alles maakte dat we ons als koning en koningin voelden.

En pleine campagne,le calme et le charme de la demeure vous inspire le repos. L accueil par un sympathique propriétaire au service de ses clients.

Un endroit charmant et un hôte très sympathique aux petits soins ! Nous avons passé un excellent séjour.

What a quaint and relaxing place to stay. We booked this hotel last minute when our previous plans changed and were very happy with our choice! The small hotel is in a farming community, with wonderful views from the infinity pool. The owner Arnaud is an incredible chef as well and we had an amazing dinner and breakfast. The room was comfortable, although the decor was a little dated. If you’re looking for a quiet retreat…this is your place!

Our 1 night stay was perfect. The hosts were great as was the food. I’m looking forward to staying again and exploring even more of the region.

Deze oude boerderij is prachtig gerenoveerd en ligt midden op het Franse platteland. Je kunt er in alle rust genieten van het mooie zwembad en alle moderne voorzieningen.

Hôtel de La Ferme de Lamy is a lovely ‘get away from it all’ hotel. The property is well maintained and the rooms are well looked after (although ours looked a little old fashioned, but comfortable).

We didn’t have dinner (being vegetarian in Perigord is tricky!) but the ‘continental’ breakfast served on the patio was good quality (if a little pricey).

The setting of the hotel is lovely - the rolling countryside around it makes for a quiet and peaceful stay. The infinity pool is a very pretty place to unwind.

The only negatives are the lack of air conditioning (we had very sticky, stormy weather) - even a room fan and fly-screens for the door would’ve helped - and weak WiFi.

Other than those caveats, Hôtel de la Ferme Lamy makes for a good choice to stay.
