Perfect, dog friendly, people friendly, comfortable, centrally positioned but quiet at night with available parking outs
Pros:

Friendly, including very dog friendly. Room was well thought out and comfortable. In addition to a desk etc. there was a brilliant quiet ceiling fan, a fridge and even a safe. Set in the centre of Genk the double glazing worked well although after 11 (Friday night) the whole place seemed wonderfully quiet. (There was also a beautiful Audubon picture of a blue heron - one of my favourites!) The bathroom was well fitted out including twin basins and a large mirror with lighting. The shower was in the bath but was very good with plenty of hot water. Breakfast was good with plenty of choice. Restaurant downstairs (although I didn’t try). Finally parking on the road - with helpful advice I obtained a ticket which was free, covering me from 6pm until 10am, including 1 hour free (9-10am). If you arrive early you might have to pay (€1) for an hour, depends when you leave.

Cons:

Extremely minor things - the switches for lights, including the bathroom, were by the entrance. It took a little while to locate the sockets (under the bedside tables).

Pros:

Leuk vintage hotel, midden in het centrum van Genk. Goed ontbijt. Alles schoon en netjes.

Cons:

De kwaliteit van de bedden. Roken was verboden wat wij heel fijn vinden, maar er was wel rokend personeel.

Lovely stay with great food!
Pros:

The ladies running the place are very nice and provided us with an exceptional breakfast. We also had dinner at their restaurant as it seemed to be the best option.

Cons:

The views of our room and the steep stairs to the 2nd floor. The bathroom is a bit tight although the facilities are nice.

Pros:

Frühstück war okay, Lage gut.

Cons:

Wir waren im Nebenhaus, das recht runter gekommen war.
Lampen gingen teilweise nicht, teils ziemlich ramponiert.

Sehr laut bis 1h morgens wegen Kneipe nebenan und ab 6.30h wegen Flohmarkt (jeden Sonntag im August/September).

Great location.
Pros:

Central location. Easy to find. No early check in available and had to come back at 3pm. ( i know thats the check in time but surely not every room is unavailable until 3pm!)...Room is sufficient and facilities in room are ok. Bed is a bit thin and not very firm.Breakfast was great. Big selection and fresh food, fruit,bread etc.

Cons:

No earlier check in. There must be available rooms at 1pm? Shower basin fills up pretty quickly and high, near to flooding. Shower head could do with a mould clean.

Die Inhaber und die Mitarbeiter haben uns sehr nett begrüßt. Wir konnten sogar Deutsch sprechen und haben ein wenig Spass gemacht. Wir waren auf unserer Radreise durch Flandern und konnten unsere Fahrräder sehr sicher über Nacht nebenan unterstellen. Die Bar und der Frühstücksraum sind schon sehr antik und etwas besonderes - alles noch sehr "old fashioned" und sehr besonders. Das Zimmer war schön und auch das Frühstück war lecker.

Cons:

Leider waren die beiden Matratzen in unserem Zimmer doch sehr durchgelegen. Es wäre schön, wenn hier einmal ein Austausch stattfinden könnte.
