Extremely disappointed with this stay
Pros:

Breakfast staff were nice.

Cons:

Bathroom was filthy, tiles lifted up on bathroom floors, lifts broken, bed side lamp broken, check in staff were new but were kind of rude and asked where I was from in almost an inappropriate way.
The food was actually disgusting, chicken wings were dry and inedible the halloumi fries were cold and nasty. The eggs and baked beans looked like they had been sitting there for a while and had dried crusty sauce around the rim.
We have stayed at this hotel when it was a Holiday Inn Express and yes I know it’s a budget hotel but wow the standards have dropped massively.

Pros:

The room and shower were large and well kept.

Cons:

Lifts did not work. Paying for parking and no discout for disabled parking. Noise from air conditioning unit.

Work stop over
Pros:

Staff were friendly, bed and pillows were comfortable had a good nights sleep. Room was a decent size, nice and clean. Coffee at breakfast was lovely, breakfast looked very good but I didn't have time to try it, next time will definitely be tucking in

Cons:

Unfortunately the lift was out of order, so walked to 2nd floor with a heavy case. coffee and sugar in room were old and had stuck together. Hand-wash and shower gel was out.

It was a fleeting visit in transit to a different destination but we were all very satisfied.
Pros:

The staff and in particular the gentleman at Reception when we arrived (Friday 26 June at approx. 9:30 - 10:00 pm) was very helpful and courteous.

Comfortable room.

Car parking charge seems rather steep at £10 . I didn't have a car

Cons:

Some noise from trains if you are given a room on this side .
Didn't eat at the hotel and noticed one resident complaining about meal.
Surprisingly decent selection at breakfast but was very early to the dining room.

All 'round good spot to stay. The tiny village has a very interesting Red Lion Inn to add charm.
Pros:

The staff were very helpful, the rooms were clean and comfortable as was the foyer/lounge. Breakfast was most adequate and there was plenty of choice.

Cons:

I wish that they had some boiled or fried eggs! i get ill if I eat any dairy products and the scrambled eggs contained milk. A minor irritation.

Amazing staff who made our stay so special

Everything about the property was great but it’s the staff who really make the hotel special. Kind, friendly, helpful with a ‘nothing is too much trouble’ attitude we really felt like it was home from home

Great budget hotel
Pros:

Great budget hotel. Basic rooms, but everything you need for a few nights away. It was 33°+ during our stay and the fantastic air con in the room and throughout the hotel gave us our best sleep in weeks and a very comfortable stay. The staff were really friendly and helpful and the breakfast was fantastic. The full English was great and a there was good range of cereals and alternatives

Cons:

Parking at the hotel is an additional charge of £10 per night. I would have expected it to be included in the price especially being a wheelchair user and using a blue badge
