Location excellent, cost - way over priced for the state of the unit.
Pros:

The location and view are really lovely. The warm pool and the tub on the balcony are excellent. The service from reception and cleaning staff is very friendly.

Cons:

We have stayed at Sacred Waters several times in the past but the last time was about 11 years ago. Since then the units appear to have deteriorated significantly with no attempts at up keep. For over $1,000 per night for a 3 bedroom apartment they are completely unacceptable. The shower over the bath in the main bathroom is an extreme trip hazard and these are so outdated. It is a narrow tub with no handles on the wall to assist access and egress. The shower head has to be pointed at the wall otherwise water goes everywhere. The shower head was very loose. The little magnifying mirror was a nice helpful touch but it was broken and couldn't be made to stay in one place. The carpet throughout the unit is absolutely putrid and needs to be ripped up. The dinner plates do not fit in the dishwasher. They are too high. There was a Plastic plant leaning over in one corner in a pot way too small for it. It just looked cheap and nasty. Something had been split on the tiles at the lounge end of the kitchen and not cleaned up. My sister cleaned it before I could get a photo. The lounge was comfortable and the kitchen was ok but overall these very expensive apartments are past their use by date for some TLC.
Next time we are in Taupo we will stay elsewhere.

Fantastic property in an amazing spot- will be going back one day!

Exceptional A++++
Pros:

I loved everything about this place and the staff were exceptional especially Tumica, I had mixed up our booking and arrived a day early but that wasn’t a problem she sorted everything even upgraded us.
The place was so clean and the pool was amazing. We stayed here for 3 nights before getting married and we wished we had stayed for the duration! Will definitely come back and make sure we stay for a week Room 11

For 5 star accommodation was a bit tired, stained carpets, leaky and low shower in main bathroom, issue with power tripping, and 3rd pocket style bedroom was unexpected disappointment for high rate paid which we couldn't see until we arrived.

I would make Sacred Waters my go to accommodation!!
