My daughter and I were on a road trip from Auckland we chose this Hotel because it was central to Turoa Ski Resort and Mt Ruapehu WHAKAPAPA Ski Resort we also wanted a hotel that had a Restaurant to dine in breakfast lunch and dinner

convenient and accommodating
Pros:

the front deskstaff was very accommodating and flexible. We originally booked the family room however, their family rooms were all upstairs and there were unfortunately, no lifts to accommodate our disabled company. They were happy enough to swap our rooms to somewhere more convenient. Luckily enough, there were still some availabilities.

Cons:

their walls and floorings are so paper thin that when you stay in a room on the ground floor, you hear everything

Very clean, comfortable, great location to mountain, lovely staff.
Pros:

All staff at reception and restaurant were super lovely. Rooms are very clean and comfortable. Restaurant and bar is cosy, food was good and drinks prices very reasonable.

Cons:

Just lacking a few basic things, not enough hooks / rails for towels in bathroom and no vanity to put items on. An empty kettle that doesn't fit in the small hand basin to fill so need to use a glass or cup to fill. Rooms seem well thermally insulated but not well soundproofed, we were on lower floor 1st night with family above, every child's run, adult's footsteps, TV, voices and bathroom could be heard. we didn't quite get the early night we hoped and an earlier rise than expected! We requested a move up a floor for 2nd night, much better.
