Great hotel in proximity to Tongariro
Pros:

Location - proximity to Tongariro National Park. Comfortable, very clean. Helpful staff. Charm of a hunting lodge but nice.

Super quiet, dark & comfy king bed made for an excellent night's sleep.
Pros:

Comfy king bed. A couch! Great in-house restaurant with cosy fire and view of the mountains. Excellent cooked breakfasts.

The staff was incredibly kind and helpful, hotel restaurant was really good, jacuzzi was appreciated even though no bubbles. Room isn’t fancy but everything worked

Cons:

There is only one window in the room (and one in the bathroom), and being on the ground floor, we had the curtain down most of the time.
Room itself is quite small, with a very thin sliding door between bathroom and room

Very basic hotel, only good for an over night stay. The restaurant was good with meal sizes to feed an elephant.
