It was close to the wedding we were attending, but not sure if I would recommend it.

I knew it was an old building, but the condition of the stairs and balcony worried us. It seemed that if there were more than 2 people on it it would collapse. The inside of the apartment was clean, but if you looked out any window you saw old and dirty parts of the building, not pretty. The employees were mixed, in the restaurant they all looked miserable. Front desk people were friendly and helpful, except when checking out, she couldn't even bother to look or be nice.

Broken AC. Went out to my car at 2:00 am and the guy locked me out of the hotel. The guy was rude and was playing music loud so I could hear it in my room.

the whole concept. Key did not work unless you push the door in and then out , Bathroom was so small my husband had to bend to take a shower. Sink was in the middle of the room . Air conditioner was behind a curtain that you could not keep open for there was a building right next to it with a window . Definitely not worth what we paid , would never recommend it

Historical building and interesting atmosphere overall. Staff was helpful and pleasant.
Pros:

First room given had no electricity to TV, fridge or Microwave. Was given a different room to move to. The second set of keys did not work for the room, obviously marked wrong. Room smelled fresh and was clean, and quiet. Bed was comfortable and water in shower was hot. Food in Bistro was good.

Cons:

Rug on stairs needs cleaning or replaced. Floor was so uneven -tripping hazard.

The room had a strong odor of sanitizer. There were dark watermarks
On the ceiling by the door. It also rained the night I stayed and there were fresh watermarks on the ceiling over the shower.

Pros:

Receptionist was watching tv when we arrived. We had to get her attention for service. The room was on the street side of the building, very noisy. We asked if we could switch rooms, they had no other option. No coffee maker in room. Receptionist did not know what time coffee was provided in the dining hall in the morning. We checked out one hour after we checked in.

Pros:

Its a shame, The hotel is quaint and historic and I have stayed in the past. But the hotel is extremely run down. The shower water issues are water stops, comes back on cold and then comes on scalding. carpets are bad. Internet winks on and off. I feel bad leaving this review but it's time for the hotel to retire.

Pros:

Rooms were VERY dated (the blue sink was loose from the wall) and our floor slanted. Our room was very clean and bed comfy. Staff very accommodating and friendly. The bistro was excellent and so charming.

I was extremely disappointed with my experience at this hotel. The property is neither clean, safe, nor suitable for guests. The carpets were heavily stained and emitted an unpleasant odor, the drop ceiling showed signs of water damage and disrepair, and the chandelier appeared dangerously unstable. The flooring was uneven, and the door frame had a visible gap large enough to raise concerns about pests.

Despite being moved to three different rooms and eventually “upgraded” to a two-bedroom suite, the conditions remained unacceptable. The suite itself was severely outdated, and most disturbingly, I discovered a used condom in the bathroom — an absolutely unacceptable lapse in cleanliness and hygiene.

What was intended to be a two-night stay lasted only a few hours before I made alternative arrangements at another hotel. I am currently seeking a full refund. Based on my experience, I cannot in good conscience recommend this property to anyone.
