The Ramadhan buffet at The River Grill is definitely worth it. The food is delicious with a good variety of dishes to choose from, especially the local favorites. Everything was well prepared and nicely presented. The atmosphere is comfortable and suitable for breaking fast with family and friends. Overall, it was a very satisfying dining experience and highly recommended.

Casa del Rio is the best (like Casa del Mar and Lakehouse of the same brand).
It starts with a magnificent welcome including a quick neck massage.
The room was just perfect, the staff hospitality likewise and we loved the swimming pool. And moreover, the digital butler Captain Rio (so very convenient)!

We have had an amazing experience here from the warm welcome on arrival to the room and fabulous breakfast. The people here can't do enough. Special
mention to Fara who is just a rau of sunshine - always smiling and going the extra mile - she makes the best cappucino coffee I have tasted this holiday. Fuchral is also a delight reserving our favourite table for breakast each day. The rooms are well equipped and we loved the snacls and lemon grass burner lit each evening - special touches. The hotel organised for us to visit the floating mosque and a river cruise .

This is a truly excellent hotel, with comfortable rooms and really friendly, helpful staff especially Puan Koreena in Reservations who is always prepared to go the extra mile. A highlight this time was the Heritage Dinner with a choice of 168 dishes and I wish we could have tried all of them.

The hotel is a fabulous find. Its central position means that you are no more than 15 minutes away from any part of historical Melaka.

The suite was spacious and immaculate with a great view of the River. The bathroom could sleep two people alone and the large double-sized bath was a welcome destination after a day’s touring

The hotel’s staff went well beyond anything that you could reasonably expect - service in all areas was first-class with real attention to detail.

Haffis and his colleagues were perfect.

The food - especially the banquet - was outstanding; an almost insurmountable range of mainly local food that was beautifully prepared. The banquet will remain a personal culinary highlight for many years to come.

We are going to stay at two sister resorts -The Lakehouse at Cameron Highlands and Casa del Mar in Langkawi.

I really enjoyed my stay in this hotel, the staff were friendly and helpful and the rooms were very clean. The location of the hotel was perfect as it was right next to the river with a simple walk into the main hub of Melaka.The atmosphere was good as there was a lot going on in the location of the hotel in the evenings and even though I didn't actually go out in the evenings I enjoyed watching the activity from my balcony.

Our second visit. Still perfect! All the staff are amazing especially the front of house. We the sorbet greeting. It was chinese new year so the hotel had arranged Lion dance in the lobby spectacular but noisey !!!! The weather was mixed but it didnt spoil our enjoyment. The pool was lovely. Slightly chilly breeze blowing so didnt swim as much as last visit. Lots of fireworks around. We stayed in 210 which is perfectly placed for watching life on the opposite bank etc. Will visit again. We also stayed at the sister hotel The Lakehouse in Cameron highlands which was amazing too.

Had an absolutely wonderful stay at Casa del Rio! The location is literally a stone's throw from Jonker Street but tucked away enough to feel like a peaceful sanctuary.

Service: The warm welcome with the lime sorbet and cold towel was a lifesaver in the Melaka heat. Every staff member was incredibly attentive.

The Room: Spacious and clean, with a private balcony. I love the bathtub. The rubber duck is such a thoughtful touch!

Breakfast: Good spread. I had the Eggs Benedict, and I love the orange sorbet.

Definitely my go-to hotel in Melaka from now on. Highly recommended for anyone wanting a mix of heritage and luxury.

Being welcomed with chilled towels and refreshing lime ginger sorbet was such a classy and thoughtful touch, especially after a long drive. We were even greeted with our names beautifully displayed on mango leaves a unique and charming detail that made us feel incredibly special and valued. A heartfelt thank you to Ms. Nana and her team for the warm hospitality.

The buffet spread offers an impressive variety, and the included à la carte selections truly elevate the entire dining experience. I had an excellent stay at this beautiful hotel. The charm of its architecture and design creates a fully immersive experience. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and the view of the river is a real bonus. The staff are attentive and make sure everything goes smoothly. The infinity pool above the river is magical, and the breakfast is varied and focused on local products. Thank you for this wonderful stay!

Lovely hotel centrally located and walking distance to all major attractions in this city. We were welcomed by very warm and friendly staff and each of us were given a short neck/shoulder massage in the lobby when checking in. It was a beautiful start to our stay and greatly appreciated after the bus ride from Singapore.

Our room was spacious with a large bathroom with double sinks and a walk-in closet beside it. There was a nice array of amenities provided in the bathroom. We had a room that faced the river. I think the best part of our day was coming back to the room after the turndown service because they light a votive in an aroma diffuser that smells absolutely heavenly. It’s a wonderful mix of lemongrass, ginger and other fragrances. I tried to buy it before we left but they had sold out and were waiting for a shipment. So sad as I would have loved to take that home with me.

There was breakfast buffet was quite extensive serving Chinese, Malay and western choices.

There was a wonderful spa on the third level and I had the traditional Malay massage which was truly amazing.

It was an excellent 2 nights stay in Dec 2025 and while the hotel is starting to show its age, it’s very well kept.

It has a big compound so guests won’t feel crowded and it gives off a chill vibe. The car park while wasn’t big, appeared to have sufficient lots for room guests.

The breakfast was great and offers a variety of food. Not too hotels within or near Jonker walk has a swimming pool but Casa does, offering guests a respite from the hot Melaka weather.

The location is just next to Jonker walk and make for an easy walk to the shops and night market.
