A hidden and surprising gem

Sunny times in Scarborough
Pros:

The room was surprisingly spacious being an attic room , well equipped without being crowded plenty of dpace to move around and good storage. Very clean. Hosts were lovely and helpful. Despite being an attic room was cool in the terrific heat

Misleading information, and dismissive of this
Cons:

Misleading details said 15 mins from hotel to peasholme park, open air concert theatre, this is untrue and even google states at least 45 mins. I would not have booked, as I specifically needed 15 mins walk due to disability. No buses and would have been difficult to get taxi, would have been stranded, so had no choice and decided not to stay at hotel, with no refund. Parking is also chaotic looking down lots of streets, with potential long walk back to hotel with cases. Owner claimed it is possible walking up large hill to castle off road which is not ideal for ladies in the dark at midnight. There was no understanding at all from the owner and dismissive.

The location is amazing.It's just a roadback from the beach, all attractions, shops, bars and restaurants.
Adam is a really friendly informative guy. If I go back to Scarborough I will definitely stay there again.

A gem of a find
Pros:

Great hosts, genuine and friendly. Excellent location, 2 mins downhill for the seafront or 10 mins uphill for the town centre.
Lovely room (attic) with everything we needed: hair dryer, fan, tea/coffee/fresh water etc, fluffy towels, excellent shower and so quiet. Bed was super comfy, linen was immaculate. Wi-fi strong and reliable. Communication was great right from booking to arrival.

Cons:

Nothing to dislike.

The hotel was lovely! The building had a lovely homely atmosphere with a very comfortable modern interior. The family were wonderful, very welcoming and friendly. We had an amazing visit!!
