Pros:

Ein sehr schönes Hotel mit sehr freundlichem und bemühten Personal.
Gutes Frühstück. Die Anbindung in die Stadt mit dem Bus ist super, weil die Haltestellen direkt vorm Hotel sind. Es gibt auch einen Bus zum Airport. Das ist sehr praktisch.

Cons:

Das Zimmer war schon ein bisschen abgewohnt, aber das Personal war sehr bemüht und das roomservice hat auch gut funktioniert.

Wir kommen gern wieder.
Pros:

Das Hotel liegt im Vorort Saõ Martinho von Funchal auf einer Klippe direkt über dem Atlantik. Seine Gartenanlage ermöglicht einen wunderschönen Meerblick. Die Gegend ist sehr ruhig, allerdings wird aktuellin der Nachbarschaft gebaut.
Es besteht aus drei Häusern, wobei das Haus C mit Meerblick, dem Restaurantbereich dem Pool und genügend Liegen das komfortablere ist. Auch der Spa und der Innenpool sind hier untergebracht. Haus B und A sind zurückversetzt und Haus A liegt an der doch mässig befahrenen Durchgangsstrasse und dadurch wohl etwas lauter. Das Hotel ist sehr komfortabel und die Garage hat genügend Abstellplätze für Mietwagen.

Das Restaurant lässt keine Wünsche offen. Sowohl Morgenbuffet wie Abendbuffet werden gut bewirtschaftet, so dass es dem Gast an nichts fehlt.
Das Konzept der möglichen Aufteilung in Starter, Mainplat und Dessert ist allerdings erklärungsbedürftig. Es schmeckt aber trotzdem alles hervorragend.
Das Personal ist sehr zuvorkommend und hilfsbereit. Alle sprechen mehr oder weniger Portugiesisch, sowie die meisten Englisch und einige auch Deutsch.
Im Poolbereich wird eine Poolbar betrieben und ist immer mit sehr aufgestelltem Personal bestückt. Der Pool ist bestens auch für Nichtschwimmer geeignet.

Die Anbindung an die Schnellstrasse erreicht man innert weniger Minuten und auch zu weiteren Restaurants in der Gegend kann man bequem zu Fuss gehen.

Der Stadtteil São Martinho, auf der westseite Funchals, ist mit dem Auto in etwa 20 Minuten vom Flughafen zu erreichen. Ein Hoteltransfer wird nicht angeboten. Das Hotel kann aber auch mit dem Bus erreicht werden und eine Hop-on Hop-off Linie hält ebenfalls direkt beim Hotel.

Die Zimmer sind mit bequemen Kingsize-Betten ausgestattet. Das Bad mit Dusche ist sehr geräumig und auch der Schrank bietet für zwei genügend Platz. Negativ fällt die leere Minibar auf. Oder sollte das einfach eine Möglichkeit zur Lagerung eigener Lebens- und Getränkemittel sein?

Wie überall auf der Insel grünt es man

Leider hatte das Zimmer keine Minibar, bzw. war der Kühlschrank komplett leer.

The hotel was in a gorgeous location beside the beach and had breath taking views of the ocean and cliffs of Madeira. The hotel was exceptionally comfortable and clean and staff were professional and friendly. The food was delightful and the location was super with a bus stop right outside.

Struttura vista oceano!
Pros:

Stanza ampia e con balcone. Anche angolo cucina, con frigo, piano cottura e microonde. Davvero utile. Colazione continentale ottima.
La visuale sull'oceano un surplus. Parcheggio a pagamento, ma ad un prezzo agevole 7€/ giorno. Vero che il parcheggio a Madeira è "selvaggio", ma avere garage è certamente più comodo

Cons:

Forse un po' la pulizia in stanza, negli scaffali superiori dell'armadio c'era polvere e il calcare sul box doccia, che da un 4 stelle non mi aspetterei,ma nulla di grave. Altra osservazione,ma non necessariamente negativa: letto matrimoniale sono due letti singoli separati.. che con il senno di poi forse anche meglio..
