Good location good service friendly staff
We enjoyed our stay and fully appreciate how difficult the existing layout of the building must be to make it fit today’s requirements but feel I must give an accurate assessment of my stay in order for you to help future guests be aware of potential difficulty before making their booking.
Booked one night £140 +£5 for sea view very nice room - room 112 En suite very small -door very narrow - toilet too close to wall for comfort. The balcony was nice feature but there was nothing to hold on to when negotiating high step.
Decided to stay another night but we had to change room £160 - Room 123 - room OK but small window and outlook was road and car park but was more expensive - en suite was slightly larger but again the toilet was too close to wall for comfort - toilet roll storage lodged between radiator ,wall and toilet seat
I knew that the rooms were not wheelchair accessible but the walk to rooms had steps in the corridors which made walking with a walking aid difficult - in places the corridor is quite narrow and has many twists and turns
The location was perfect. Our room faced the bay, beautiful. Breakfast was a great way to start the day.
Staff were friendly, helpful and polite.
My only criticism would be the rooms were compact but in some areas looked a tiny bit tired but I understand it hasn't recently been taken over.
Lovely location in the broads
Smallest room we have had so far with many stays. Nothing wrong with it, was on a hot night with a top window so was quite warm
Staff are always friendly and go above and beyond to help in anyway they can
Been to this hotel several times over the years.
Convenient free parking for guests.
Pleasant reception staff and staff throughout.
Room.was airy with a , much needed, fan.
Lovely shower 🚿.
Had a meal in hotel which was nicely prepared.
Had a few drinks in hotel later that night 🌙.
Quiet throughout the night for sleeping 😴.
Easy check out following morning 🌄.
Shall return when in the broads.
Only criticism would be to be that the bed was a bit too hard for my back & sides.
Love the location and the helpful staff particularly Sam my cleaner and Ashley the receptionist who was very helpful
NO fridhe in the room and it was hot and stuffy because the window opening was stuck but Asley got it sorted.Great location good o
The Wherry is a large hotel overlooking Oulton Broad with lots of parking for residents.
Our room was a decent size and even had a balcony area overlooking the Broad, which was a bonus. Spent a few hours during our stay on the balcony just watching the various sailing club activities on the water. Very relaxing!
Everyone working at the hotel that we met were very friendly and helpful.
