Good place in a nice area!
Pros:

Staff were very friendly and welcoming!
They helped us change the room when we asked for a room with shower(instead of bath we were allocated).

Cons:

It’s little noisy with people leaving after late night parties/ marriage functions- you can hear cars and people talking near room etc- Hotel cannot be blamed for this though.

Absolutely Fantastic stay at Palm Court, hotel was very high standard however Staff were even better
Pros:

Very big and clean rooms! Food was fantastic, Breakfast was made to order and evening Menu had many options and was very tasty. The staff were all brilliant and very accommodating, even went above and beyond when colleague was delayed and they kept the kitchen open a little bit longer for us and also even help with breakfast on our departure as was just before breakfast opening started. . Bar was very nice local pub vibe and had a good choice of drinks, sports were available and staff accommodated for all events.

Cons:

disappointing lunch
Pros:

After we interned my mother at a nearby cemetery, we had booked a table for 9 people on Sat 21st Feb. Although we had phoned on Friday 20th to confirm the booking made previously , when we arrived the restaurant was not ready for us and my daughter had to assist the waitress to put the tables together.
It took some time for us to be served our drinks and eventually the only waitress took our order.
Although Cullen skink was on the menu , my daughter was told it was unavailable, the prawn sandwich which she then ordered was in fact small shrimps and was coated in a very watery salad cream , it was quite inedible and she left most of it.
The fish and chips tasted as thought the oil required to be changed.
All in all a very disappointing experience especially under the circumstances, we wont be back.

Perfect Day!
Pros:

On Valentine's Day, we married at the Palm Court and it was the perfect day! Megan helped coordinate everything for us so even with booking only 90 days in advance she helped make it such a smooth, stress free experience. The rooms were spacious and clean, the meal was delicious and the wedding decor was just beautiful!! We plan to return regularly to reminisce our perfect day! Love Gregor & Louise Duncan x

Table Reservations
Pros:

We normally meet friends once a week and take our two dogs with us . Because some regulars don’t approve of dogs we book a table near the door beside reception so we are not close to these people.
Unfortunately the staff either forget to place the reserved card on the table (table 99) or as what happened last visit people move the card to another table !.
Out of 8 bookings over the last few months we have only been given the correct table two or three times !, poor show
Palm Court !

Average experience
Pros:

Good food. Slow service. Room average, single wardrobe with no shelves, wardrobe access to tea making facilities “wrong handed” making access ridiculously difficult.

Excellent hotel and very helpful staff
Pros:

Only one word: Magnificent!
All boxes ticked. Wonderful place, food & staff. Especially Jenna who fulfilled every wish and couldn’t do enough for us. Linda in reception was very very helpful. A lovely, jolly lady that added to our stay. Again, nothing was too much for her to help. We will definitely return!

Well appointed bistro and great value rooms with free parking.
Pros:

Food on the bistro was great. Room looks lovely. Towels are soft and really nice pillows. Would stay again

Cons:

I found I could hear everything in the hallway. So maybe bring earplugs. I think it's cause my rooms didn't have the standard bathroom as you walk in configuration. It's straight in the main room so you get all the noise.
Room got crazily hot in the early hours. I couldn't work out why. I should have packed lighter pjs.

Cons:

The hotel corridors could do with a paint job as they looked a bit tired.

Lovely, cozy spot to stay.
Pros:

Lovely hotel with modern interiors, clean rooms and Scottish touches. We were visiting family for Christmas and have been meaning to stay for a while. It’s the perfect location for us and the staff were absolutely lovely and attentive. We appreciated their flexibility when we needed to add an extra night and their diligence in cleaning the room even over Christmas. Mini bar was a nice selection of drinks/snacks.

Cons:

The beds/pillows weren’t the comfiest I’ve had but that could be preference. Didn’t seem to be temperature control in the room so we had to sleep with the window open (in December!!) and the noise in the mornings was crazy. Some truly shocking parking in the car park which made it difficult to park/leave but that’s not on the hotel!
