We loved it!
Pros:

The hotel was better than what we expected. The size of the room was just enough for 2 people. I like that we had a view over the buildings onto the mountains. The location was better than what we expected.

Cons:

The mattress and the pillows were quite hard. This made it a fairly uncomfortable sleep.
The elevator doors closed too quickly and did not have a sensor which caused it to close onto people as they were entering or exiting the elevator car.

Best location and great hotel!
Pros:

The hotel was great. It had what we wanted. The best part of the hotel is the location in Gion. It is in the middle of the most wonderful parts of Kyoto. You won't go wrong with this hotel!
