Third visit....
Pros:

Third stay here and I love the location. Akasaka Mitsuke is buzzing with bars, restaurants and its station is central to all other main destinations like Shibuya and Ginza. Plus Akasaka station is walking distance for other main lines to Roppongi for example.
Lots of toiletries provided which is helpful if your supply ran low.

Cons:

Single room is very small. Hardly any walking room once you put down the suitcase.
This visit the price was x2.5 higher which is very pricey for the room and this chain of hotels.

Great location!
Pros:

Location is great, right next to Metro station. Hotel is already in center and having Metro station its easy to explore during the day.

Cons:

Cramped room, pathetic set up. Too much unnecessary furniture. Rearranged to find filth under the beds.

Removable dirt in areas of the bathroom.

I ripped my shirt in the restaurant (which isn't yours) that you offer your breakfast in, on the shoddy table. Hot food served cold. Confirmed by how quickly the dismantling of the equipment used. Last orders announced followed by an immediate removal, absolutely pathetic and diabolical service. Never known hospitality to be so bad in an international hotel group.

Akasaka stole our hearts
Pros:

Location was awesome - very short train rides to some of the most popular places in Tokyo. Akasaka-Mitsuke and Akasaka itself are beautiful, with food and ammenities at your fingertips. Staff were lovely and helpful. Everything worked in the room, and was very clean.

Cons:

The room didn't have under-bed bag storage, which has been a key feature of other APA hotels we've stayed at, given the size of the room (small room size is normal for most hotels in Japan). The matress in our room was nearing the end of it's life - but wasn't un-sleepable.
