My family booked a premium room at a wellness spa. This is not what we experienced.

Access to the room was via a narrow staircase into the loft. No hand rails. Narrow steps. Basic health and safety issue.

The room felt like a half converted loft. Curtains simply hid what was basically an area of junk.

The bunk bed for the kids has a large spike just above it. If a child where to sit up quickly i they would put a hole in their head.

The one loft window in the room is low down and ridiculously easy for child to climb out of.

The bathroom is basic. Almost unfinished.

The bathroom draws had human hair in them.

Retrospective investigation of their website shows the owner chooses to argue with complainants and not deal with issues.

All up. A poor experience. So poor I packed my bags and left 30 minutes after arriving.

Complete waste of money and borderline scam due to the missrepresentation of what you actually get.

Hotelletje om je even rustig terug te trekken voor overnachting en ontbijt. We volgden een feest-2-daagse in Oudenaarde (45 j. Lejo) en dit hotelletje op 7-tal km wat ideaal voor overnachting en ontbijt.

The rooms were clean and big in size. With the good beds you get value for money. Location is quiet and not much to do around in the evening, but great to go out for a bike ride or hike.
The check inn at 4pm is a bit late but they’re very fleixible with the check out if possible.
The host was a very kind and gentle
The had diner at the restaurant and food was good but bit pricey
At the end we enjoyed our stay very much and was good hotel for a cycling weekend

Quaint Belgian farm village. Only 5 minute drive from nearby city square. Proprietor is helpful and friendly.

geboekt omwille van huwelijksfeest in de buurt. Hadden superior room, was ruim genoeg en warm genoeg, maar niet zo heel goed gepoetst (overal stof). In de badkamer was het een drukknop voor de douche, wat je wel verwacht in een camping maar niet op hotel, je kon ook zelf temperatuur niet regelen... ook te weinig licht in badkamer, zeker omdat de spiegel getint was. Ontbijt ok, maar niet wow (koffie was bitter, maar wel lekkere broodjes en croissants). Voor die prijs verwacht ik meer...

Vind het ronduit schandalig dat ik duidelijk vermeld dat in met een wonderbox reserveer. Noch jullie, noch de eigenaar breng mij ervan op de hoogte dat het niet kan. Nooit meer via hotels.com!!!!

Nothing memorable. Could never get in before 4pm and nothing local to do while you waited around.

Hotel waar de tijd wat stilstaat.
De tuin en omgeving van de parking doen wat verwaarloost aan.
Te kleine douche en heel weinig licht op badkamer.
Geen frigo of minibar op de kamer, stofvlokken achter het bed.
Ontbijtbuffet ok maar ook niet meer dan dat.

Positief:
- ligging
- rust
- rustieke inrichting van de kamer, heel toffe wandbekleding van de badkamer!

- eitje bij het ontbijt
- afstoffen van verlichtingsarmatuur in de ontbijtruimte
- ervoor zorgen dat alle verlichting werkt in de kamer

The room was fine, but we got twin beds instead of the confirmed double bed. The wellness arrangement needs some attention : hot tub not hot, sauna and hammam too low temperature. The hammam could be adjusted, but the hottub and sauna could not be. Did not try the bistro since it was fully booked for the night we wanted. Shower was only overhead - no handheld attachment. So if you had no shower cap and you didn't want to wet your hair, you were out of luck. Wifi was very weak or impossible in our room.

Nevertheless, management was very helpful.

I had a very comfortable stay in a small, quiet village. The owner was very friendly and welcoming and provided me with information about the local area. The hotel has a nice outdoor area for eating. Dinner and breakfast were both excellent. My room was clean and spacious, with a very nice shower. Though the weather was quite warm, I had an excellent night's sleep. This peaceful area has many biking/hiking trails.

Our stay at the hotel was wonderful. The service was fantastic, especially the very easy late check-in, and the breakfast was delicious. We highly recommend this hotel.

Sehr nettes Hotel mit hübschem Restaurant (leider kein Abendessen mehr verfügbar um 21:00) und sehr aufmerksamen Eigentümer.

We stayed at the Horenbecca to cycle the Tour of Flanders roads. The hotel was fantastic, the host was great and the location perfect, cannot recommend the hotel enough.

We needed a family friendly hotel near to Oudenaarde and this hotel was excellent. Owner was very accommodating and added to the cultural experience of staying in Belgium !. Location easily accessible, parking convenient on quiet roads with additional parking to the rear of adjacent building, safe location in rural village. Local baker across the road offered excellent selection although opening hours were characteristically Belgian !. Food was excellent and well presented. Would definitely stay again. Thank you Horenbecca !.

Lille hyggeligt hotel laaaaaaaaaaaangt ude på landet... Der er intet andet i byen, men servicen er god og udvalget i restauranten var rigeligt til at vi 2 aftner kunne finde forskellige ting vi gerne ville spise, og maden var i top...

Great place to stay if you come for cycling. Very friendly staff.

Een echte gezinsuitstap naar het plaateland.Perfect weer,mooie omgeving en een mooie comfortabele kamer.

What can i say about the Horenbecca Hotel ?
My very first visit to cycling in the Flanders area and i can honestly say myself and two friends, we well and truly landed on our feet ! with staying at this hotel and the first class hospitality from Luc and Mello.
Accommodation and food was outstanding ! Luc and Mello seem to work their socks off to help guests, nothing seemed to be to much trouble as well as juggling work load of running a busy hotel.
I do not need to look anywhere else for accommodation in the Flanders area, Horenbecca for me had it all, i'm already planning a cyclocross weekend for the new season and will be staying at the Horenbecca.
