Hotel Rural Nou Dalt Muntanya

I rarely leave negative reviews, but I feel it’s important to share our experience so other travellers can make an informed decision.

One of the main reasons we booked this hotel was because parking was advertised as available. As we were travelling by car and arriving late at night, I specifically contacted the hotel before our arrival to confirm that parking would be available. They confirmed it would.

However, when we arrived at around 2:00 a.m., there was not a single parking space available. We drove around the area looking for somewhere to leave the car safely, but there was nowhere suitable. The hotel later claimed we could have parked along the roadside, but this had never been mentioned beforehand. As visitors unfamiliar with the area, arriving in the middle of the night, we were not comfortable leaving our car on the side of a narrow mountain road.

I immediately messaged the hotel asking for assistance but received no response.

After I eventually entered the room, I found that the bed was not fully prepared for immediate use, as the duvet was folded at the end of the bed and had to be made by us at 2:00 a.m. Within the few minutes I spent inside, I also found and killed two centipedes.

At that point, considering the lack of parking despite prior confirmation, the lack of assistance from the hotel, and our first impression of the room, we decided not to stay. We were inside the accommodation for only a few minutes before having to find alternative accommodation in the middle of the night.

What disappointed me the most happened afterwards. The hotel saw my message requesting assistance and noticed that we had not stayed, yet nobody contacted us to ask if we were safe or whether there was anything they could do to help. Instead, they simply marked us as a no-show.

Another point that future guests should be aware of is that the hotel requires you to complete the online check-in before arrival.

Ich kann die teils negativen Bewertungen einiger hier nicht nachvollziehen. Wer eine 24/7-Gästebetreuung braucht, Läden und Trubel, sollte sich besser was anderes suchen. Dieses Hotel ist ein kleiner Familienbetrieb mit einfachen, sauberen Zimmern, einem tollen Garten und mega Essen. Dass Dienstags und Mittwochs das Restaurant zu hat, wussten wir. Die Familie muss ja auch mal Pause haben können.
Die Klimaanlage ist in der Tat laut, wir haben sie aber nur 1 Mal genutzt, weil es nachts eigentlich ziemlich kühl wird und man mit offenem Fenster schlafen kann.
Ein paar Haken an der Wand im Zimmer hätten wir vielleicht noch gut gefunden, damit man sein Zeug besser unterbringt, aber ansonsten war alles super und wir würden hier wieder buchen.

Da gibt es Nichts.

The owner of this hotel is extremely rude, dismissive, and completely unwilling to help guests.

The hotel is located in the middle of nowhere, yet it is impossible to buy even a bottle of water because the restaurant is closed several days a week. To make matters worse, there is often no staff or management on the premises for long periods of time, leaving guests with no one to turn to when problems arise.

The swimming pool, while visually attractive, is constantly filled with dead bugs and bees floating on the surface, making it unpleasant to use.

What was truly unacceptable was the owner’s attitude during the days when the road to the hotel was inaccessible. Despite knowing that guests would arrive after a long day with no access to shops or restaurants, she made no effort whatsoever to provide even basic drinking water. Such a complete lack of care, hospitality, and basic consideration for guests is simply inexcusable.

Carreteras sinuosas

Está muy apartado de todos los sitios y las carreteras que lo comunican son muy estrechas y con muchas curvas. Además están cortadas por obras en cierto horario. Es un hotel que no tiene todos los servicios y no hay cerca nada si lo necesitas. La habitación muy básica y no tienen aire acondicionado (hay una especie de aire que no enfría mucho y hace mucho ruido - me hubiese gustado saberlo) ni perchas para colgar ropa o toallas (solo en el armario).

Some evenings, I missed the bar / restaurant atmosphere and great service, on that tranquile relaxing terrase.. Wished them open full week evenings, completing the dream staying in Dalt Hotel. Missed them, so maybe I'll be coming back soon, sometime.
Yes, air conditioning, noisy device. But you may skip it, as open windows, of fresh night mountain air is not equivalent to anything else. Sanity and comfort feeling. Try it.

It was quite remote. Also the air conditioning unit in the room was very noisy and the bath towels were only changed once a week. It would have been good to have a small fridge to keep cold water.
