A deilitefull setting
I was somewhat surprised that there was a charge of €10 for a late check out. I regularly visit hotels my last being the Clayton in Belfast when I asked for a late check out because my train was 1 pm much like my situation today.,,,
The location and the staff were lovely and accommodated any needs.
The room was not the cleanest. The shower had mould, and the shower head had a heavy build-up of limescale. It also didn’t function properly, spraying water unevenly while the centre of the shower head only dripped, so the water came out mainly from the outer nozzles.
The headboard was very dusty, and the room itself also felt dusty, which was particularly problematic as I have a sensitivity to dust.
The TV remote barely worked unless I stood on the bed, as the TV was mounted so high that the remote would only register from very close to it.
Overall, the cleanliness and maintenance of the room did not meet the standard I expected.
The hotel was easy to find, parking reasonably accessible, and the receptionist pleasant.
The town of Wexford is a 10 minute walk across the bridge - fine provided it's dry. However, the hotel itself is rather tired and in need of a refresh. The shower had a strong odour of drains. There is no USB phone charging provision (as several other hotels offer nowadays). Sound isolation is poor, such that doors slammed late at night elsewhere in the building are clearly and disturbingly audible.
Good location, very friendly and pleasant staff.
Old hotel, needs a full renovation. It was maybe a nice hotel in the 80's, but it should not be allowed to be open anymore. The carpet in the hallway and room is smelly, it looks like it was never changed since they open it.
I loved staying at this hotel, yes the hotel is an older hotel but it’s got charm the staff are so lovely friendly and helpful.the location is great you just have to walk over the bridge and your in the town, only issue I had was shower was very small.
Small shower
Really enjoyed our stay.
Breakfast was great. Served at the table..
Hotel was a 10 to 15 min walk to the town centre so excellent location. Friendly staff
Wifi..
The bed and the coffee machine
The room was very outdated and smelled. I did ask to be moved but the other two rooms were worse. We couldn't even hang up our clothes in the wardrobe because it smelled of must. The skirting boards were dirty and the bathroom was cringe worthy.
The location is excellent. The staff are super friendly and helpful. The food is very good. The building could do with a refurbishment but all in all very enjoyable and good value for money
Beautiful location. Old building full of character. Comfortable bed and room. Staff were amazingly friendly and helpful.
The room we were in was near the extractor from the kitchen so was noisy at bedtime and morning when cooking happening.
The receptionist was lovely and knowledgeable and chatty/friendly, the room was huge!(original bridal suite I was told when I was checking out), food in the River Bar Restaurant was so excellent we ate there BOTH Znights instead of going back across river to town!
Nil!
Amazing staff, 10 out of 10 on friendliness, room was perfect and I have no complaints. The restaurant was amazing the food delicious, location of the hotel was perfect short walk into town and just a great experience in general
