We have had a grand stay at the Isleta Resort and Casino
The room was dirty and disgusting.. smelled so musty, carpet looked like it hadn't been vacuumed in a long time and so dusty along walls..woodwork on baseboards was in repair..we were considering leaving the first night but staying since it was only 2 days but wish we would have left
I stayed at Isleta Casino & Resort for one night while visiting my partner for a work conference, and unfortunately the experience took a pretty disturbing turn.
To start with the positives: the room itself was nice. The TV was large, the tub and shower both had great water pressure, and having a Keurig in the room was a convenient touch. The casino and on-site food options were decent as well - nothing over the top, but perfectly fine for a short stay.
However, around 3 AM I woke up to something biting me. When I turned on the lights, I found bed bugs in the bed in our original room (432). It was honestly mortifying and left me feeling completely disgusted and unsettled.
What made things worse was how the situation was handled. The front desk staff didn’t show much empathy initially and asked me to capture the bug and bring them the pillow with the blood-stained bug on it before taking action. Only after that did they offer to move us to another room.
On the bright side, Tina (the bellhop - unsure of her exact title) was incredibly kind and sympathetic when I explained what happened. She was the only person who made the situation feel taken seriously, and I really appreciated her.
I’m still waiting to hear back from a manager (Tammy or anyone, really), which is frustrating. I was able to go home, thankfully, but my partner still has to stay there for several more nights. I’m genuinely concerned about him bringing bed bugs back to our apartment. At the very least, I hope the hotel takes proper precautions like heat-treating his belongings and both rooms involved.
This whole experience felt very violating, and because of it, I don’t think I’ll be staying here again.
If you do choose to stay here, I strongly recommend thoroughly checking the bed and sheets - there were no obvious signs beforehand in our case.
I really enjoy having a balcony. People very helpful and friendly. They always make sure i get what I’ve asked for. Rooms are always clean and well stocked. When I’m in Albuquerque to see friends i stay here to feel like I’ve had a true vacation. Good food at TIWA,chile ristras and embers. Valet is the best.
Beds could be lower. More water in frig. I can honestly not think of much I didn’t like. I have stayed here at least 15 times and only had 2 bad stays. And it wasn’t the hotel it was rude guests.
The resort was very nice, prices were very inexpensive. The casino was nice the front desk staff was very friendly
Other than front desk the staff was not very friendly or helpful, don’t know basic info like what time things closed. Can’t drink in the casino only in designated areas with bars but cannot walk around with alcohol :/
I love how spacious the rooms were. The staff were professional yet friendly and very welcoming.
The long hallway to the elevators.
Outside of town but still close
Slightly outdated and entertainment center for kids was closed
The convenience of never having to leave the hotel for meals was great. The food was amazing. The staff and rooms were fabulous. So much fun!
