Pros:

I love staying at this hotel! The location is phenomenal, right next to Holyrood Park, and the rooms are very clean and comfortable. Also convenient to several bus lines.

Cons:

Since this hotel is at a university, there can sometimes be loud people walking by, but it wasn't too bad.

Pros:

Staff really accommodating, supportive, happy to help. Came to sit an exam and upgraded my room on the day, staff remembered me the next day and were incredibly kind

Cons:

Honestly, three minor points. One was that the large bed had a midline rift through making the centre uncomfortable but that was not awful. The second is I couldn't turn the lights off from the bed. Third is youtube didn't work on the tv, so I resorted to using it on my phone for studying for the exam. Basically, I was spoiled.

Pros:

2 dog beds, welcome back with treats, bowls and towel was great for our two terriers. The hotel was incredibly dog friendly, they were welcome everywhere and it really made a difference. The bar and restaurant team were friendly and engaging. Really impressed with our stay.

I strongly recommend it!!!
Pros:

It was very clean! In a beautiful place! The staff were really nice. They made us feel welcome. The coffee machine in our room wasn’t working so they offered us coffee in the breakfast room. Excellent attitude 10/10

Receptionist was extremely friendly & helpful, as was all staff in general. Room was comfortable and clean, wonderful creams and soaps to be used, beautiful setting for the hotel

Cons:

Just a few suggestions to make things even better: Water bottles in the room would be useful, light in the cupboard so we can see the coffee/tea items and a small tube of toothpaste in the bathroom. A few more options on the menu in the restaurant. Great otherwise!

Pros:

Oerhört trevlig personal. Inte bara "trevliga och snälla" utan nog den bästa servicen jag har upplevt.

Rummet och servicen upplevdes som på ett hotell i en betydligt högre prisklass.

Sängen var av väldigt hög kvalite med två olika kuddar per person med varierande tjockleck och fasthet, så att man kunde välja vilket man föredrog. Madrassen var väldigt bra.

Bra isolering och vi hörde i princip ingen annan gäst medan vi var i vårt rum.

Frukosten bestod av den lyxigaste hotellfrukosten jag någonsin ätit. En öppen kontinental buffe som var bra i kvalite, men sedan en hel meny av varmrätter som man kunde beställa från, hur mycket eller lite man än ville, och som då tillagades direkt från köket.

Paraply och adapter till de engelska eluttagen lånades ut av receptionen, som för övrigt är öppen 24/7(!)


Läget är ganska bra, cirka 2 km till riktiga "centrum" vilket gick OK att gå eller en Uber för 10£.

Sammantaget en oerhörd upplevelse och det kommer vara tufft att någonsin besöka ett annat hotell.

Cons:

Det enda negativa jag kan krysta fram är nog vattentrycket från kranen och duschen, men jag vet inte om detta är något som hotellet kan påverka eller om detta ligger hos "kommunen".
