Suprisingly luxurious stay
Pros:

Much better than expected given this is an old university student residence and I only paid £108 in July. Not much to look at from the outside but suprisingly luxurious inside. Really comfortable room, everything had a very high end finish, quality toiletries and selection of tea and coffees. I didn't use the bar area abut it looks very nice and comfortable. Staff on reception were outstanding! Peaceful location surrounded by trees on uni campus but easy to get to the centre by bus. Local neighbourhood has tons of places to eat and drink.

A comfy stay
Pros:

The location was good it was lilke a 20 min walk to the attractions. It was super clean and the people were so friendly and helpful with everything. We really enjoyed our stay there.

Grundsätzlich eine sehr schön gelegene, saubere Unterkunft mit tollem Frühstück und Service.
Pros:

Außergewöhnlich leckeres Frühstück

Cons:

Keine Klimaanlage und Vorhänge vorhanden - wenn man im Dachgeschoss die Fenster geöffnet hat, war es sehr hell.

Great stay, lovely staff made it special!
Pros:

Very welcoming, lovely clean room, excellent bar and dining room.

Cons:

It was perfect for us. I don’t think there is air con, so could be toasty in very warm weather. Great for our stay though.

Super Personal, super Frühstück, sehr bequeme Betten, regelmäßige Reinigung.

Cons:

Keine Ablagen für Koffer Inhalte, keine Garderobe, wenig Ablagen im Bad, keine Handtuch Haken,Abluft läuft rund um die Uhr.

I really enjoyed staying here and will be recommending it to friends.
Pros:

Loved the bed, very comfortable.
The area around the hotel was lovely and peaceful.
Very nice breakfast.
Friendly staff.
Restaurant food was very good offering varied choices and it's a lovely room to be in.
Newspaper rack was good to have but a few magazines wouldn't go amiss.

Cons:

Toilet seat was clean but stained by chemicals, so didn't look great. It needs replacing.
I would have liked a proper chair, not a stool, in my room.
The lounge area on the ground floor was very nicely laid out but I do hate TV's being on all day.
Also the cushions, all be them decorative, were far too large for the chairs so we always had to put them on the floor.

An excellent choice for a relaxing stay or just a quiet overnight and we will return.
Pros:

Lovely hotel in a fantastic setting overlooked by the Salisbury Crags in mature parkland and gardens close to Holyrood Park. It was comfortable and quiet with efficient, friendly and helpful staff in all areas. Well fitted out bedroom, spacious with great shower and coffee making facilities in the room.
The dining room, bar and lounge areas all comfortable with great breakfast and dinners during our three night stay. Nice outdoor seated terrace.

Cons:

It’s about a mile form the crowded Old Town and tourist traps which is a bit far to walk but lots of buses at the gates and the hotel will order taxis when necessary.

Nice hotel in a good location.
Pros:

Good location for walking into the city centre and Arthur’s Seat. Fairly quiet. Reception staff were very helpful and friendly. Parking spaces, but limited.

Cons:

The duvet cover had a dirty mark on the top. Not much wardrobe space if staying longer than a weekend. Some staff in the Abacus restaurant were a little rude.

Hotel mit guter Lage zu Arthurs Seat und City
Pros:

Schönes Zimmer im 3. Stock, gute Lage in Fussweite zu Arthurs Seat und City mit naher Bushaltestelle.
Sehr gutes Frühstück. Freundliches Personal in allen Bereichen.

Cons:

Zunächst falsches Zimmer angeboten, erst nach Reklamation Wechsel in gebuchtes Zimmer , wurde von sehr hilfsbereitem Personal aber bereitwillig durchgeführt.
Dauergeräusch von öffentlichem Schwimmbad gegenüber etwas störend (Filteranlage?), nachts nicht in Betrieb.
