Great location, beautiful room but overall disappointing.
Pros:

Location great, beautiful room

Cons:

Very noisy - we were woken at 7am with staff talking very loudly near our room and someone vacuuming several times from 7am to 9am. Lots of slamming doors.

Pros:

Didnt have breakfast. Husband did and said it was good.

Cons:

Long way up to second floor with suitcase!
My room had a drain smell which I suspect was the shower or sink trap - needs cleaning
The bed throw had a few large holes in it.

I wouldn’t recommend apartment from the setting
Pros:

We went to a wedding reception at this hotel the nibbles offered were underwhelming then the meal was not what I expected first course was ham with goats cheese about the only cheese I don’t like so for me not good a few bits of salad with it the main course was beef which was tough as old boots dessert an underwhelming pear baclava pretty tasteless I’m sure my niece paid a fortune I don’t think she got her money’s worth. Never got a coffee after the meal.

Disappointing and no duvets!
Pros:

My friend and I had a river view room but you couldn't see the river to be honest. The receptionist, on arrival, was pleasant and took our cases to the room as we were a little early.

We only returned to the room to get changed after shopping and headed out for dinner. We used to live in Richmond and it was special trip down memory lane for us.

When we got back we tried the TV, which wasn't working, rang reception and a helpful young lady came and climbed over the bath tub (in the room) round the back of the TV and did something!
.
When we got ready for bed we realised that - wait for it - we had no duvets!! Twin beds with a double sheet folded in half and a thin blanket was spread over each bed, which is why we didn't notice before. How can a hotel give you a twin bed room for £315.00 and no duvets!

It was late and we were tired and in pyjamas ! So, we went to bed and fiddled with the heating to keep warm.. Uncomfortable sleep with a sheet falling off all the time! .

When we went down to check out we told the guy on reception. He said 'Oh yes, sorry about that, we need to get double duvets that unzip to make 2' - huh?? How ridiculous! We just couldn't believe it. He was laughable in his response.

I rang when I got home and spoke to a lovely Head Receptionist who was horrified and said apparently they do have duvets and she could not believe the way it was handled .....but how could this happen? In all my life I have never stayed anywhere and not been given a duvet!!
She gave me 20% off my next stay and 15% off the restaurant. However, I had already had an email offering 10% that goes to all guests who stay here and if I went to Richmond again, I would be going out for dinner in the town. The room would still cost me a lot of money too.
We should have rung down at 11.30pm I suppose but we were tired, in nightwear, and took it as the way the beds were supposed to be. We had already rung down for the TV.

Beautiful location
Pros:

We stayed at the Bingham for two nights to recover from a family funeral.

Pros:
- The location overlooking the river is beautiful. It’s a pleasant walk into town and there’s a Gaucho minutes away if you fancy a steak like we did.
- I loved the quirkiness of the hotel, creaky stairs and all, and the decor.
- Comfy bed
- Sweet and friendly staff
- A bath which I found pleasantly surprising in a small bathroom

Cons
- Our room William was tiny. Cosy, yes, but tiny.
- I didn’t mention this to the staff so my bad, but the bathroom door didn’t close properly so keep swinging outwards
- The food was average, in particular the breakfast (included in the price of the stay, plus money off our first evening meal). Not somewhere I’d recommend for coffee.
- Errors on the bill at checkout. We were billed for a treatment (which I couldn’t book anyway as the spa had no availability on either date) and a round of drinks we didn’t order. All rectified easily and without fuss though.

Brilliant stay in Richmond.
Pros:

Brilliant experience. The entire place is very charming and very well located. The Sunday roast is amongst the best in London. The service overall is excellent, the staff treated us very well. Our room has a great view and the TV had lots of Disney and netflix to keep the small ones entertained. Spotless clean. Overall Great place to unwind and take in everything Richmond has to offer.

Utterly disappointing experience , overpriced and would not recommend at all !!
Pros:

N/A

Cons:

Even after informing the hotel this was our honeymoon night, they were oblivious and not bothered. We booked the cosy room, even though we knew it would be small, the room size is so ridiculous and we both cracked our heads on the eves. Do not book this room for the price. We had used this hotel in the past but it has a very different feel under new management. We went to the bar for a cocktail when we arrived but waited so long decided to give up and go to our cosy rabbit hutch. Not the best ending after an incredible day. Could not recommend to anyone and we are locals.
