Close to the college
A/C was broken and the room felt wet. We powered through and in the morning the guy at the counter told us that he knew it was broken but thought it was fixed. Terrible nights sleep, we wouldn’t recommend this facility
Great convenient location in the heart of shippensburg, decent restaurant experience
A little dated but still a comfortable stay. Breakfast is very limited
Recently stayed here for two weeks, and unfortunately the problems go well beyond what you’d expect from an older or budget hotel.
The biggest issue is repeatedly having no hot water during the day. I spoke with the front desk manager multiple times about it and was told that when the hotel is doing laundry, there may not be enough hot water available for the guest rooms. That’s a pretty unacceptable explanation for a hotel. More importantly, despite bringing it to management’s attention several times, the problem was never actually addressed.
The advertised continental breakfast is also extremely weak. It consists primarily of prepackaged cereal, milk and juice, a few bagels, and individually packaged mass-produced muffins. Calling it a continental breakfast is generous.
Then I ran out of shampoo in my room and asked to have it replaced. I was simply told that the hotel was out of shampoo.
Any one of these things might be a minor inconvenience, but taken together—especially over a two-week stay—they show a real lack of attention to basic guest needs. Reliable hot water and basic toiletries are about as fundamental as it gets for a hotel. The most frustrating part is that management was made aware of the hot-water problem repeatedly and apparently chose to just live with it rather than fix it.
I would not stay here again and cannot recommend it.
Breakfast was the usual American continental fare. I wish there had been fruit and the coffee tasted better.
There was a possible leak with our bath tub. Staff wanted us to only take showers. I go to hotels with hopes of taking a bath because I don't have one. They neither offered to move us or comp us for the inconvenience.
Out of breakfast items 🤔
The breakfast was subpar. Cold cereal and bagels.
The room was extremely dirty on our arrival. Surfaces were not wiped down, ie nightstands covered in sticky residue and boogers, the tank of the toilet was covered in urine splashes.
Beautiful hotel. Nice restaurant
Late checkout wasnt working right. Key card did not work right all the time.
Close to everything. Restaurant in the same building
Everything was good. Parking great
Easy & Simple Online pre-check; Other than that it was a bed to sleep in.
There was hardly any conversation or welcome by front desk upon arrival; The room key was handed to us without advising any additional information. Key card jammed opening the door. Bathroom had mold on the ceiling and a terrible spackle job. Dirty towels; The nose from other guests on premises as well as traffic was unbearable.
Very nice room, perfect location downtown, grille-restaurant in house, friendly and helpful staff
Everything was perfect
The location to the university
The first room they gave us smelled like wet dog and the carpet powder you used to hide smells and window was open. So we asked for another room which was above the pub and was loud until about 1am. Breakfast was verrrry limited and the poor front desk guy was also refilling everything so it was all empty often and he was having to run around to fix it.
