Iconic Victorian building
Nothing
The location was convenient as we arrived from Euston Station.
At check in there system was down so it took over 30 mins to check in. Consequently all their restaurants were closed. That is 10.00pm. The view was zero. A blank wall 4feet away from our windows. I wa served an incomplete breakfast.
Emplacement très pratique
Hôtel bruyant, air conditionné insatisfaisant, délai d’attente à la réception trop long
Cadre exceptionnel, efficacité et gentillesse
Very convenient. Right at the train station.
Wonderful breakfast.
Price!
The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable.
Breakfast food was very good.
The placement of the lift to the rooms was right by the kitchen entrance where the smell of raw meat was repulsive (although I'm sure some people wouldn't mind it).
In the breakfast room, the cold draft when the doors to the station opened was a big negative.
The property is stunning.
The air con had stopped working on a really hot day
An iconic property, with so much history
Rooms were very small and not a lot of light
Excellent property with great attention to detail. Customer service was also superb and lots of interesting things for the kids and adult to do!
No understanding of Ambassador member benefits (which I did not receive). Little or no leadership on show and a pale shadow of what this hotel once was. It felt almost like an airport hotel, where staff are aware most guests are only there for a few hours and service reflects that model.
emplacement parfait, un tres bel hotel. attention dans l'ancien partie il n'y a que des suites
rien
Ideal location for Eurostar
Nothing
While spending time in both the hotel bar and restaurant, my party and I observed multiple mice actively running around the lounge area while having drinks, at times coming within approximately two feet of where we were seated. As guests of a five-star hotel, this was both shocking and deeply unsettling. The presence of rodents in food and beverage areas raises obvious concerns regarding cleanliness, sanitation, and guest safety.
Had this occurred on the first day of our stay, I would have checked out and found alternative accommodations. Unfortunately, the incident significantly detracted from what should have been a premium hospitality experience and left us feeling uncomfortable and disgusted.
A 5-star Marriot Autograph Collection hotel of this reputation and standard should maintain rigorous pest-control and sanitation measures, particularly in areas where food and drinks are served. Witnessing multiple mice in public guest spaces is simply unacceptable and falls far below the expectations associated with a luxury property.
The lack of surprise or concern by the staff was actually appalling. I have multiple videos that I am more than happy to share as we sat at our seats with our feet off the ground. When asked to move immediately to the other restaurant we were told that one actually has more MICE! When raising my concern at the front desk clearly it’s a known issue and they were not in the least bit concerned that a guest was should just deal with this blatant regard of cleanliness and sanitation among other things.
It’s a rip off . When I tried to check in they said the room wouldn’t be ready for 2 hours but could offer a junior suite immediately at an extra 200 pounds !
When my son checked in the following day they tried to push him into a suite as well , when he declined they said they were upgrading him anyhow
