location and attentive staff and the 'extra' experiences like the Punch drink
our friends had biscuits in their room !
Location was good
This was a room ahead of my wedding, it was dark, no main lights, to tiny windows with broken handle. The air-Con didn’t work. It was dated and really, not as expected. Not one member of staff mentioned my wedding even though we had it noted. Not even a glass of water when we checked in. Absolutely substandard customer service. Such a shame for such a beautiful setting!
服務好,房間打掃很快下乾淨
淋浴間太狹窄,沒架子和空間放洗潄用品
Lovely building in an excellent location. Room was small, but well maintained. Comfortable bed and great shower.
As we were only staying one night, I didn’t get a chance you use the spa, but we did eat in the Hawksmoor restaurant which was really good as well.
The room was very hot - it was 30C outside, but when I booked it said it had air con in the room, but I think it just had some sort of ventilation system that cools the room slightly. It was 26C at night in the room and the windows were locked, so not very comfortable. I didn’t feel it was great value for money - mainly paying for the building and location. I’ve stayed in other hotels with the same star rating in central locations for a fraction of the £360 per night rate (which didn’t include breakfast).
Propreté. Confort. Présence d’un spa. Personnel sympa
Le prix du breakfast est abusif
The architecture is sensational but it’s the staff that make it a standout experience.
Could not fault it in any way.
Location
Unprofessionalism
The hotel is beautiful - the architecture is stunning. The staff are lovely, friendly and helpful. The bedroom was large and extremely comfortable except for the lack of proper air conditioning which was so noticeable as our stay coincided with days of very high temperatures. The public spaces weren't too hot as they are so large - breakfast was very good and the restaurant setting was lovely
Bedrooms are advertised on booking.com as air conditioned - they have a "climate control unit" but it was ineffective in very hot weather. The unit was set to 18.5 degrees but the temperature reading in the room never fell below 24 degrees. We asked for a fan which was provided and helped a bit. The hotel was having problems with its cooling systems but it was working when we arrived and the temperature in the room was over 25 degrees.
Close to Eurostar
Nice to see how the station has been converted into a grand space
The temperature outside was 34 degrees.
The air conditioning was not working & absolutely no one responded to call for house keeping or guest requests
Sehr schönes Hotel
Essen Zimmerservice super
We stayed at St Pancras because we were on our mini-moon and wanted something luxurious.
The location is perfect and the building is gorgeous from the outside and the corridors etc. They also do very good food and the bed was comfortable. They gave us Prosecco and chocolates on our arrival which was a lovely gesture. The staff were all very polite.
The bedroom itself was disappointing considering the amount it cost. We payed extra for an ‘upgrade’, however, we appeared to be next to an abandoned room with a mattress against the glass, and our room looked a bit ‘unloved’ too. The only mirror was too high to see into when getting ready, and there were no British plug sockets either. The man on the desk assured us that, due to looking over the station, it was ‘one sided glass for our privacy’. We discovered (the embarrassing way) that this in fact, was not the case. We were also interrupted by the maintenance man, who needed to fix the shower as soon as we were in there, despite it just being upsold to us. The spa was ok, if you don’t want a proper pool to swim in. Would recommend this hotel if you are really into trains. Unfortunately, it wasn’t as luxurious as we thought it would be.
Location, attention to detail , friendly helpful staff
Nothing
All staff were very attentive, even providing my daughter with some chocolates for her 16th birthday. There were lots of small touches throughout the hotel that added to the value for money. I would highly recommend and will definitely be staying again.
N/A
The location was perfect for catching the Eurostar the next morning. The breakfast was nice and the breakfast team were very good.
I was a bit disappointed with the room. It was quite basic and in the modern part of the building. I thought it would be in the gothic part of the hotel. It felt a bit like a room from a budget hotel.
The service in the outside bar area in the afternoon was quite poor.
