Beautiful location, but mixed comfort
Pros:

The location of this hotel is absolutely fabulous, situated right by the river. It was wonderful to be so close to the water. First impressions of the room were also very positive; it was impeccably clean and beautifully decorated, showing a lot of attention to detail in the design.

Cons:

However, there were some significant downsides. The room was very small, leaving hardly any space to move around with luggage. We also had trouble sleeping because the air conditioning was extremely loud at night, and unfortunately, the beds were uncomfortable.

As a suggestion for improvement, it would be great if the hotel team could help more with travel planning. We asked for recommendations on local tours, but they weren't able to assist. Offering this kind of advice would make the trip much easier and more enjoyable for guests.

Excellent, would highly recommend and would stay again.
Pros:

Excellent location and fantastic staff. Also having unlimited access to the bikes was really great.

Cons:

Nothing we didn’t like, however the price of the food and drink is high compared to other places.
But you do have the perfect view of the river and bridge, with the most spectacular sunsets.

Just the most delightful team and view at this gorgeous hotel….
Pros:

The location of the hotel was excellent, the staff absolutely terrific. You would struggle to get such a fabulous view not only at meal times but while by the pool. Cannot fault our amazing driver either who took us out for the day, nothing was too much trouble and we were safely looked after. The food was absolutely excellent, the choice superb at all meal times particularly at breakfast. Location of the hotel is a short walk from The River Kwai Bridge and train stop. It’s a 24hr use hotel so that was terrific as you get 24hrs from your check in time until your final day of stay - we checked in at around 6.30pm and our final day we didn’t need to check out until that time….great idea which I wish more hotels could follow.

Cons:

I hate being negative about anything at this hotel as it simply was amazing and the staff and it’s location are incredible but I will say that no spare toilet paper in a hotel room is not something we’ve come across before in Thailand although as I say staff were great in providing extra items when asked nor the lack of a body lotion given that in every other hotel of similar standard or even lower rating/standard lotion/spare toilet roll has been present and in particular at U their shower gel and shampoo is incredible so a body lotion would have been terrific. We also suffered with a lack of tea bags & coffee mate/milk staff again provided when asked but it is worth if you are a tea/coffee drinker asking for extra from the get go similarly if you are staying for a while an extra toilet roll just in case might be worth asking for. This hotel is incredible and we loved our stay but things to think of when checking in to ask for……just in case….

The weird complementary drink option of one alcohol for one person and one soft drink for the other. It would be better if they offered a drink of choice for each person.

There's not much to do in the hotel or the vicinity .

Pros:

Location is great, overlooking the river. Breakfast is very good indeed.

Cons:

We had a superior room, apparently! It was very small and poky. The Peppers restaurant was very overpriced and the quality of the food we received for our evening meal was very poor. No bar you have to get your drink from the restaurant.
