Very cool property with beautiful gardens and scenery.
Staff very nice and helpful but the bed was so hard and uncomfortable that we got poor sleep. The window faced east and the early morning sun made for an early wake-up. No curtains or shades to help.
Had lunch, dinner and breakfast here and food was excellent. Dinner was outside in the garden with views of the temples. Rooms were beautiful and comfortable.
Splendid piece of heaven. Beautiful gardens and lovely rooms
Loved it's history and very nice staff
Amazing stay, location and service
Absolutely beautiful property with a wonderful restaurant.
The hotel is really cool, the building was 700 years old! It has lots of space for parking, very friendly stuff and a beautiful garden where you can have romantic dinner at. Food is also very good at the restaurant.
I highly highly recommend!
Beautiful location overlooking the Greek ruins.
Food was delicious. Wish they had a pool on the property.
The property is lovely and the staff is very nice. The food was good, but our stay was really tainted because it was the worst bed ever. The mattress was terrible, the pillows were flat and the blankets were worn, pilled, and very scratchy. For this reason we would never go back.
The property itself was nicer than how the picture looked. It was in a quaint quiet area with a nice view of the area's farmland (From the top of the Watch tower), as well as the Temple of the valley in Agrigento (From the backyard). The hotel dining was amazing, with good selection of food and wine, and al fresco dining for dinner service. The price was very reasonable compared to dining in major US cities.
Beautiful property with an outstanding restaurant. Staff was very welcoming. Excellent breakfast with a wide variety. Some foods like olive oil and nuts are grown on site. Free parking and convenient to the Valley of Temples. No complaints!
We absolutely loved this property! It’s a beautiful hotel with so much charm. From the time we checked in, Juli’s at front desk spent time with us and walked us to our room as she was going through the history of the hotel.
Grounds are beautiful! Dinner in the gardens was quite nice and breakfast is very good! Bed and pillows were on the hard side.
Hotel has grown out of a medieval fort - don't worry rooms are all modern. Excellent location re Valley of Temples and the beach at San Leone. Great views from balconies. Restaurant is OK but nothing special and menu is very limited, good wine selection. Breakfast for such a hotel is very poor, basically coffee/croissant.
Staff are very welcoming. No problems parking at front door!! Wifi is free but speed is
like in many places in Sicily very slow, had to use my phone to keep links.
The hotel is set in pretty countryside very close to the Valley of the Temples. It is set around a central courtyard with beautiful gardens and views of the surrounding countryside. We received a friendly welcome and were shown to our rooms, which were traditionally decorated but with modern bathroom and in very good condition and clean. We had pre dinner drinks in the lounge area and the service was formal but friendly. The restaurant is a glass conservatory which had lovely views of the garden and a very nice ambience. Our dinner was of a good quality and a very enjoyable experience. Breakfast the next morning was laid out in an adjoining room with a generous spread of pastries, yoghurts and fruit. After breakfast we were taken up the winding staircase to the top of their heritage watch tower for wonderful views of the local area out to the coast. We had a very enjoyable stay.
This hotel is outstanding in every regard. Delicious food, friendly and competent staff. The hotel grounds are your own Garden of Eden. Impeccably clean, spacious and comfortable rooms.
Hotel was delightful. We booked a superior room near the garden so had great views of the temples and hotel garden. Breakfast and dinner were very good and efficient. 5 minute drive to the Valley on Temples.
Our only complaint was that there was a US tour group also staying who were noisy, particularly late at night, drinking and talking loudly in the garden area. I think that this should be made clear before booking
You can see the Valley of Temples from the Baglio. Staff were wonderful. Fine dining on site. Beautiful building and gardens!
What an absolute gem of a hotel to find.
I can highly recommend this hotel to stay at, the villa is over 700 years old so as you can imagine it is full of character and history.
The room we were given had the most amazing view overlooking the gardens with a view of the valley of the temples!!!!
The room was spotless clean, antique furniture in-keeping with the style of the hotel. The bathroom was quite modern with everything that you needed.
The outside areas of the hotel are beautiful.
Please if you are staying here or nearby you must have dinner at this hotel, it was by far the best food and service we had while travelling around Sicily.
The breakfast was self service, beautifully presented in a wonderful setting.
My only regret was not staying here for longer, they offer bikes, there is horse riding, the beach is not far away and obviously the must visit is valley of the temples.
I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone and I can’t wait to return and stay longer.
