The Wishingwell

Rooms are in need of an update, bathroom also very worn and in need of refurbishment.

Very run down , had to move rooms as the toilet didn’t flush . Dirty and smells very old . Will not return .

Dated rooms but fine for the price but let down by awful WiFi and terrible phone signal. Food is restaurant was good and excellent value for money.

The place place is absolutely spectacular , very clean , modern and the bef is comfortable and lux

Simple furnishings but a very uncomfortable mattress lumpy and bits sticking up so not easy to find a comfortable position to sleep. Relieved I was on my own.

Food, staff, cleanliness were all good.
The location very close to a roundabout on a major trunk road very very noisy.
The whole place was tatty, stained seats in the dining room, torn carpet at the entrance, odds bits of poorly repaired items in the room, some bits not repaired.
My mattress was far far far too soft and uncomfortable.

Cold tap in on-suite non operational. Room had a definite smell of damp. Floor under Lino in on suite felt as though it was rotting through.

Not great experience would not stay again no breakfast was included should of been for the money

Key card failed on several occasions. Had to ask for a hair dryer.
Had to manually seal the windows to stop the icy cold breeze.

Great for a stay with children! found bed uncomfortable but this is just me I guess. Thank you

Plenty of parking spaces

Absolutely terrible! Carpets filthy, in need of decorating. Food served cold. In house literature states that the bar is open until 11pm so we rushed back after an evening out to have a drink before bed to be told the bar had closed at 10pm. Vending machine had barely anything in either.

Travellers on the site put us off checking in so we send elsewhere to eat.
Rubbish left all over the place and general mess left behind by travellers visiting the site.
Beds like trampolines and pillows like pancakes. No opportunity for a decent nights sleep and woke up aching all over from the awful mattress

Says it has wifi, did not work.
Place seems dated and needs a good facelift.

Average room, good food and service

Overall a good experience and the staff were very helpful

Heard a lot bad about this place but was genuinely not too bad. Had a two night stay for work and bed was comfortable, room had a TV with Netflix, Youtube etc. Night staff seemed a bit blunt however day staff were lovely. Didn’t get chance to try restraint / bar but the area looked really nice. Only issue is distance from town centre. No taxis were available including uber and the walk is roughly 30 minutes.

Needs a refurb and update. Staff were lovely.

Tired old place but was comfortable, room was ok for the price. Food is average and the staff were more interested in the Euro football on TV than the customers. We ate late due to travel and the kitchen staff just wanted watch the football, on arrival the receptionist was sitting in front of the TV, clearly the place has no effective manager.

The WiFi at the property is virtually non-existent and phone signal is terrible, therefore we felt really isolated while staying there.
The staff were friendly and chatty and made up for a less than ideal hotel stay. They are a credit to the company
