Clean and staff pleasant beds made every day and tea,coffee& biscuits replenished
Had to park around the back with no access except the front & had to wait to be let in as car barrier was broken which in fairness did not take to long . Did not give us a front door key as the owner said they had problems in the past with guests bringing other people in .
Great location and unusually for a hotel so central it had a large car park. Thanks to the kind gent on reception we could check in as soon as we arrived and there was no pressure to move car the next morning, really nice touch.
Nothing to report, it delivered exactly what it promised.

Nothing it was horrid
This hotel is NOT what their website shows nor what is shown on booking.com.it is scummy,tatty and falling apart. It’s worse than a youth hostel! The shower was a hose from the bath so had fun and games trying to take a shower without soaking every where as no shower curtain. The furniture looked like it was donated by the local YMCA .no pictures in the rooms just dank and horrid . The bed was squashy and lumpy with hard pillows. Even though the staff were ‘nice’ they were adamant about handing over our room key every time we went out just incase of a fire so they knew who was in etc.which I thought was a bit weird considering there should have been fire alarms? Anyway I was not happy about this and how persistent they were,so when we did go out I placed my holdal bag in a position only I knew,and yep when we returned it had been moved and obviously looked through. So thankfully we did take all our valuable possessions out with us including my car keys!! I cannot believe booking.com have this hotel on their website…Horrendous!!!’So glad we were there for only 2 nights one night was enough!!
Clean, accessible, well-located; private parking. The staff were wonderful.
No breakfast
This is an established quiet hotel. Its an older and smaller hotel in a great location, reasonably priced, room was clean lots of storage space, comfortable bed good nights sleep and a big bathroom with bath. This suited us well for a weekend away close to the beach and town if walking lots of hills about.
No breakfast at the hotel but local places close by. .
Private gated car park behind the hotel free for hotel guests parking. Dave and Phil very welcoming and friendly on reception helping us with direction and places to eat for dinner and breakfast. Enjoy the trip to Bournemouth and at the Balmoral Hotel.

Décor a bit dated
Es kostet immer einen Moment Eingewöhnung. Aber man muss diese englischen Hotels einfach mal mitgemacht haben und unterstützen. Seit 30 Jahren hat sich nichts geändert - und genau das ist der Charme eines Hotels mit dem Namen Balmoral an der südenglischen Atlantikküste. Alles ein bisschen alt und knarzend aber top sauber, freundlich und echt. Jederzeit wieder.
