Pros:

Hotel was very convenient for getting to the international centre and beach. Staff were very friendly.

Bed was surprisingly comfortable.

Cons:

You have to return keys everytime you leave, ring the doorbell to get back in and collect keys from reception. I've never experienced this at a hotel before and it made me feel awkward going out late! I'd rather they charged a deposit for keys and returned at the end of the stay of the stay if they are worried about guests losing them

Pros:

Location was brilliant. At the top of a steep hill though but if you take it slowly on the way back up it’s fine.
The staff were fantastic, so friendly and just genuinely nice to chat to, especially kind towards my disabled brother.
Very clean, very quiet, bed was comfy and facilities were great.

Pros:

Comfort, cleanliness, friendly staff, great location, great view, nice continental breakfast.

Cons:

Nothing. It is over 200 years old so don’t expect it to be modern.

Top people running it and the best location.
Pros:

Dave greeted us at arrival and nothing was too much , arrived hours early and got us in the room straight away. Got us in the car park and keys ready. Great room and superb location.

Pros:

Very nice room, with a great view of the sea and pier. Also very handy for the conference centre. The staff were incredibly helpful.

Cons:

The decor in the the public rooms etc was looking a bit tired, though I like the old style of it, it may not appeal to all.
