Excelent location, people very helpful, rooms always clean
This hotel is cute as kittens, small and cuddly and alert, well groomed (spotless) and such a calm and quiet contrast to the bustling brawny midtown environment in which it is brilliantly situated. Second floor street-facing but heard hardly a whisper from outside or the AC.

The location cannot be beat if you are wanting to be near Rockefeller Center or Radio City Music Hall!
It’s showing a bit of age, time for a good eye to come in to fix it back up again.
Once we get into our room, everything was good
Check-in was awful. Their credit card machine broke, or so they said, and could not charge us for accidentals. And that one they refused to check-in anyone though they could find my reservation and see that my reservation was prepaid. It is the first time I saw a mess like that anywhere.
Tiny Jewel indeed. Very well designed. Rooms are small but elegant and efficient. The staff is friendly, helpful and curteous. Will stay again.
Excellent location, views of St Patrick’s cathedral
and the Rockefeller Centre from our room. Complimentary coffee lounge on the 2nd floor was a much appreciated bonus.
The Jewel is located in a perfect spot for many attractions including Radio City, St. Patrick’s Cathedral, Broadway theaters and several nice restaurants.
The hotel itself has typically small rooms like a NYC hotel, but we have certainly stayed in smaller. We also had a room that was not on the street side so it was actually very quiet. The staff was friendly enough, with just one minor exception.
Depending on where our future plans take us in NYC we would definitely stay at The Jewel again.
I almost don’t want to share about this gem, The Jewel Hotel! After staying all over the city (and even just over in NJ), this is our go-to for short stays and longer ones.
Location is perfect. You do have to walk a little for a subway station but we don’t always take the subway. Walking from this spot can get you almost anywhere as it’s so central.
The rooms are varied and this time I had a mini-fridge which was great. Rooms have always been clean with beds and pillows that are super comfortable. I stayed on a higher floor where traffic was somewhat muted but I could still hear the bells of St. Patrick’s Cathedral.
I will say some surfaces (like the wood base of an ottoman) show some wear but I did not think that it was getting tired.
The price is very reasonable. I’ve stayed in worse places for much more money!
The staff is 100 percent what makes this hotel such a pleasant place to stay.
If you are used to chain hotels or fancy boutique ones, please look at the photos so you manage your expectations.
Oh and the refillable water stations are great to have when you need.
The Jewel is perfectly located. The staff is kind, professional and approachable. The room was extremely clean. The rooms are small and can be noisy, but that's to be expected in NYC. Overall, a perfect stay!
Great location and wonderful boutique hotel. I love the living room on floor 2 and the filtered water on each floor. The workout room is not great, but while in NYC, do you really need a full gym?
