The hotel was about a 30 minute drive from the city centre.. Many Grab mopeds in the area. The hotel itself was nice with an excellent swimming pool, really a great place to relax and chill! Would recommend the hotel but the city itself.....🙈

Lovely hotel, beautiful setting. Tranquil, chilled. Breakfast is amazing, as is the food we ate in the restaurant. The room is fine but slightly dated. Apart from that a lovely one day two nights stay here.

Different buildings, situated in a beautiful garden. So when raining, you get soaked. Staff in restaurant is on the slow side, not paying attention whether guests are arriving or like to order. Food is decent. Breakfast starts at 8am, rather late.
Bring a good set of earplugs as the surrounding minarets are early and loud.
Room interior a bit tired.

The hotel is very well maintained and the rooms are in separate blocks a short walk through the (lovely) garden to the restaurant and pool beyond. It is in a colonial style and sits off the main country road which is busy and has a mosque so be aware of the calls to pray. There is nowhere worth walking outside, but otherwise this is a very relaxing retreat. 🙂

I booked 1 bedroom family suite and they gave me a studio.
I am not happy for not getting what I paid.
After I spoke to the The front desk, she told me that the room that I booked from Expedia was a studio and that’s what they gave me.
She was very short and just want to ended the conversation by telling me to call them again if I still have a problem without tried to find the issues or trying to resolve the issues.

After my check in review submitted. Apparently the owner of the facility trying to spoke to my brother whom I booked the room for regarding my review.

I traveled at least 4 times a year domestic and internationally mostly booked my hotel through the Expedia. Year’s been using the Expedia, this is only 2nd times that I have an issues with the hotel that I booked.

Beside issues with the room, I think they were happy with their stays.

An oasis in the middle of a very busy street but once you’re inside, it seems like you’re in paradise! Excellent service, staffs are very efficient, super friendly and very helpful.

Die Anlage ist eher klein und familiär. Es gibt nicht viele Wohnungen. Die Wohnungen sind auf mehrere Häuser verteilt. Man kann dort wirklich zur Ruhe kommen und sich entspannen. Man hat viel Privatsphäre. Das Personal kennt jeden Gast mit Namen und kümmert sich sehr fürsorglich um jeden Einzelnen. Das Essen war unfassbar lecker und frisch. Das Frühstück war sehr liebevoll angerichtet. Es gab immer einen frischen Smoothie aus Früchten aus dem eigenen Garten. Wir haben auch eine Yogastunde mitgemacht, die schon anspruchsvoll war aber wirklich Spaß gemacht hat. Die Umgebung ist leider nicht so toll. Medan hat ansich eher wenig zu bieten. Die Unterkunft ist aber absolut zu empfehlen!

Sehr schönes Hotel im Kolonialstil, in tropischer Gartenanlage. Etwas ausserhalb von Medan, doch ist das Zentrum mit Taxi
gut zu erreichen.
Restaurant sehr gut. Frühstück mit vielen hausgebackenen süssem Gebäck. Pool sehr erfrischend.

The property if very relaxing and scenic embedded in a forest like setting reflective of the natural beauty of Sumatra.
It is about 40-45 mins from downtown Medan but that didn’t bother us. Grab drivers are widely available and cost effective plus you really don’t need to go back and forth.
Staff are very friendly and helpful and the owners provide a somewhat personalized touch to your stay, checking up on us, ensuring everything is to our satisfaction.

I enjoy my stay really much, the hotel is far from noisy places and really peaceful, lots of greeneries and for small hotel like this surprisingly they provide a good food with a reasonable price.

Lovely hotel. A real delight. Attractive grounds with trees & shrubs and even 3 geese! Really nice clean swimming pool.
Good service and decent food although we felt it was a little expensive, and not really anywhere else you could walk to easily for dinner.

Sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtete Resortanlage mit dem reinen Flair von Tropennatur und Dschungel, eine Oase der Ruhe und Entspannung inmitten einer ansonsten extrem hektisch tosenden nicht ansehnlichen Millionenstadt. Das Resort bietet Komfort, Luxus und sehr persönliche Zuwendung seitens seiner aufmerksamen und fürsorglichen Belegschaft. Ein Ort, an dem man die Seele baumeln lassen kann und den man so in dieser Umgebung nicht erwarten würde.

We had a very enjoyable stay in this special natural, tropical setting near a river with a pond with geese in the middle, a good restauran and caring staff. Our cottage was equipped with all the necessary amenities, and there's a a terrace with a a beautiful view overlooking the compound. At night we could listen to all sorts of natural sounds, which gave us a secluded jungle feeling just a few minutes away from the busy city of Medan. It was a wonderful stay, and we were well taken care of, whenever we needed assistance. The owners, an Indonesian Lady and her Dutch husband were also very attentive and provided us with their own homemade very tasty Kefir.

Absolutely floored by our experience here. It was so relaxing to escape the urban madness of Medan and relax in a little oasis. The hotel grounds are surrounded by natural beauty, touched with historic European/Indonesian charm, and a perfect place for families. The staff was professional, kind, and the owners were fantastic people. Next time we are in Medan, we are coming back!

The staff could not have done more to make us comfortable.
They were cheerful and helpful at all times.
Staying in Deli river was a very positive experience.
