Professional property host/manager
We loved the Pearl. The room was clean, spacious, comfortable decorated nicely. Service was excellent. We stayed in one night because it was bitter cold. Our TV was out
and the manager came right up to fix it. The included breakfast was good and there was complimentary wine in the evening. The hotel is directly across from the Eugene O’Neill Theater where the Book of Mormon was playing. We were able to simply cross the street to see the show. The other theater we went to for Two Strangers carry a cake (excellent show!) was on the next block and all the theaters are a quick walk. We walked to Radio City, Rockefeller Plaza and Empire State Building. Times Square is right there and numerous great restaurants of all types were just minutes away. I recommend the Pearl for anyone wanting to stay in the Theater District or Times Square.
A nice, reasonably priced Boutique hotel right in the middle of the theater district. Room was clean, comfortable and spacious. Basic free breakfast (but better than a Hampton Inn) with paper plates and plastic cutlery. Free coffee and tea 24 hours a day. A wine hour encourages socializing. Service with a smile. Very good value for the theater district.
This hotel is spectacular. For being in the heart of Mid Town the rooms were good size. Make sure you get a little bigger room with the sitting area. The theater for Chicago and Book of Mormon is on the same block. Radio City is a few blocks away. There are some great restaurants nearby.
The front desk team was so friendly and very helpful for our first visit to NYC. We arrived a little early and needed to get in our room to get ready for an afternoon show, early check in was much appreciated!! The room was very clean, beds were comfy, the refrigerator was nice to have for all the bakery items we picked up during the day. The free breakfast provided options on the go; boiled eggs, yogurt, bagels, etc. There was coffee provided all day,and wine in the evening. The location was perfect; it was close to all the main attractions, yet on a quiet street. It was extremely easy getting out of the city once the valet brought our car. If we return to NYC, we will definitely stay at The Pearl again❤️
Always a great stay! Staff is wonderful, rooms a spacious and clean. They are very kind and amiable, and are eager to help!
There is complimentary coffee and goodies whole you wait for your room or relax in the lobby which us a nice touch!
Complimentary breakfast is great as well! More on the continental side, but definitely adequate.
A good place to stay that is pretty centrally located to theatres and restaurants and Times Square!
This was a last minute detour to see Hadestown while we were on the east coast. Had no idea the NYC marathon was happening for the weekend and our usual brand hotels were quickly being booked up so we decided on this hotel based on other reviews and was not disappointed. It’s a hidden gem with wonderful customer service! We enjoyed incredible access to subways, Broadway shows and Times Square! Didn’t have any expectations but asked for a special accommodation for a hearing condition I have, and they met my request, and I couldn’t have been more thankful. We had an amazing night’s sleep for our long drive the following day. We will be returning!
We very much enjoyed our short 2 night stay at The Pearl Hotel. All of the staff that we encountered were extremely friendly, professional and helpful. The location is perfect, walking distance to many restaurants, theaters, Time Square, Central Park and shopping. The room was larger than expected and equipped with a mini fridge and microwave. The continental breakfast included hard boiled eggs, yogurt, assorted pastries and bagels, hot and cold cereals, fruit, juices, coffee and assorted teas. The evening wine hour was especially appreciated.
Excellent location. We were efficiently checked in. Wine reception in the hallway was very impersonal. Table by front desk, clean glasses, note letting us know to bring glasses back. Red - Malbec and white- Savignon Blanc. In the room, outdated cream and coffee decor, ridiculous TV in the bathroom, we would have prefer USB port in a socket. Very clean bathrooms with excellent showers, robes and slippers in a closet, but sadly clumpy mattresses and pullows. We asked for late checkout, that was accommodated by a unfriendly (consierge hung up on us) quick call.
Overall feeling is institutional. Hotel is basic for the price charged, lacks charm, not living up to its name.
Awesome - travelled with family and the stay was really pleasant.
Great staff, nice location, great restaurant attached but the pillows are HORRIBLE....please consider new pillows
..Quenn Anne maybe??
The location is brilliant for a first time visitor to New York on a short (3 or 4 days) holiday.
The property is nice, well maintained and clean with excellent staff. Breakfast, which was included in our package, is the same and could do with some improvement in terms of providing some variety.
We had a couple of security issues with the hotel staff knocking on our door enquiring about complaints which we never made. The second time was much worse because it was at night, and a burly man opened our door after rapidly knocking at the door, not giving me enough time to reach the door. We've already brought this matter to the attention of the hotel staff.
Great
Unbelievable service and amenities at the Pearl Hotel. We were well taken care of with 24/7 coffee/teas/snacks. Continental breakfast plus a happy hour! There is so much space in the lobby and 2nd floor to hand out or work. We felt at home and welcome to do anything. We will be back! Well worth every penny. Amazing location too.
Hospitality was very nice
Clean room. Staff knowledgeable, courteous and professional.
Staff was amazing, location is perfect
Upgraded to balcony which was lovely. Breakfast included which was very good. Convenient to theater and cruise terminal as well as Times Square with less noise.
Terrible bedding
I had a fantastic stay here. From the minute I arrived to the minute I left, the staff was friendly, helpful, and kind. I arrived a little early and was given early check-in and a room upgrade. The room was beautiful! Very clean, elegant, and comfortable. I HIGHLY recommend this hotel if you are looking for a place to stay in the Times Square Area.
Lot of activity going on in the street and construction in the area. It was also UNGA week so lots of security traffic. Congestion (more then usual) to be expected I guess.
