Dinner in the restaurant was very good and the staff helpful and pleasant
The skirting boards/carpet/walls/shower were dirty with chipped paintwork and peeling wallpaper. The beds (2 single) were extremely soft and uncomfortable. The room desperately needs an upgrade. We stayed two years ago in one of the upper level room which, although tired, was not to the same degree as the lower level room we were allocated this time.
We will not return!

I liked everything so I don't have any negative word or to describe... Just to maintain and keep your guest happy do way you all be doing basic on my experience obviously.

The room we had was in clean and well kept. The shower had great pressure which meant for a very relaxing wash.
We liked that our room was away from the main hotel building, especially as there was an event on which meant our stay was unaffected by the noise.

Well equipped modern spacious room that was recently refurbished. Well equipped modern bathroom. Onsite restaurant serving good food, good choice at breakfast. Good location for visiting Glasgow, Edinburgh, Stirling and the Kelpies.
Some bedrooms in a separate building, our bed was uncomfortable as could feel the springs. Bathroom down stairs from sleeping area would have benefitted from an automatic low light for night-time visits.

Check in was quick with a pleasant member of staff. We were allocated "cottages" external to the hotel building which is what I had been hoping for. These are great self-contained individual units, ideal for an overnight stay. We were able to use the restaurant for an evening meal without a prior booking which was very helpful.
There was some road and wind noise in one of the cottages so the double-glazing could be improved in some rooms. The other cottage was almost silent despite being closer to the road.

We stayed in the rooms that are in a seperate block, near the car park. Room was clean and a good size, with nice bathroom and all the facilities we needed. Breakfast was good and staff helpful/friendly.

Staff were friendly enough and the Hotel itself was OK and the main reception, Bar, Breakfast and restaurant / evening meal were good, so from a 'Facilities' point of view it was OK and wouldn't fault anything
My actual hotel room was very tired looking and could do with a serious upgrade / decorating and the ensuite was the same, very old, tired and in need of some TLC, the bed was very hard too.

What attracted me to the the Hotel was that they provided a laundry service, so I weet out of my way and payed extra compaired to similar Hotels. I was on a week long journey and needed to get my clothed cleaned. When I arrived I was told I couldn't use the laundry facilities as I was only styaing one night. It was not advitised that this would be the case when I booked my reservation. I might have well booked a cheeper hotel and went to a launromat instead.
Friendly welcome, good food and a comfy bed.
