The hotel is nice and the staff were lovely. Good location for motorways etc. it did have all the essentials but would be even more of a lovely hotel with a bit of love and care put in.
The bed was so uncomfortable definitely needs to be renewed. Kept coming away from the headboard. The duvet covers were nice and soft though. The bathroom wasn’t overly clean.
The room was great. Classed as a 'Junior Suite', it was big and airy, it had a separate area with a comfy sofa and a large tv. The bed was large and very comfortable, and the bathroom was big and bright with a corner bath and separate powerful shower. The room was well equipped and very clean.
The breakfast was great value and all the staff in reception, the bar, and at breakfast were efficient and helpful.
The hotel is on the edge of an industrial estate, and despite there being a line of trees between my room and the road there was a lot of noise from early in the morning. It was mainly lorries, and as the road has 'speed bumps', the sound was quite intrusive.
Reception was very nice. Room was set off from the main building it wasn’t very nice, the rooms across the way at least had windows over a garden. The room was clean and the bed was super comfortable.
The room was hot, but there was only a small window in the bathroom with bright light shining in. I couldn’t figure out how to open it in the middle of the night. I figured it out just before I left.
Great welcome . Very friendly.
All was good.
Due to roadworks, the duty manager moved us from our booked room at the front of the hotel to the back, so it would be quieter. Beds are the comfiest I've slept in at a hotel. I usually have trouble sleeping away from home, but not on this occasion, slept like a baby. Breakfast was very good too.
The advertised food times were incorrect and when we arrived, food was not available. It was a minor inconvenience, but it had been a very long day and we were hungry! TV in the room wouldn't work no matter what we tried.
Clean
The radiator in our room was not working, and there was nobody in reception to speak to. Therefore we ended up sleeping in the cold with a 10 month baby as well.
Excellent accommodation and friendly efficient staff.
