Good modern room
Someone had used the toilet before we had arrived and hadn’t cleaned it
Comfortable and friendly, helpful staff. Able to store and charge bikes whilst doing John Muir Way.
We come here for a stitching retreat twice a year. It's exactly what you need clean and comfortable rooms, the food is always good, but what makes this hotel shine is the staff, always approachable and friendly, the same faces every time and they really bend over backwards to help and make you feel welcome, see you on November guys you're brilliant!
Nice layout and large rooms. Very clean. Good value for money.
Check in staff member was not welcoming.
Staff, room and food were great.
Radiator in the bathroom didn't work, but it wasn't a big deal.
Large comfortable room, great staff, excellent evening meal and breakfast
Wi-Fi was very hit and miss
The hotel, and the bedrooms in particular, are dated.
The event room was very nice to be fair, and the bar areas were ok
Unfortunately the breakfast we had was completely cold. Very disappointing.
The staff were nice, but I couldn't recommend staying here.
The bedroom decor was dated.
The shower was mediocre at best, and the sink didn't drain properly.
Breakfast was genuinely horrible. We had breakfast elsewhere after the first experience, and it was vastly superior, and cheaper too. Disappointing.
The location for heading north.
The outbuildings need a bit of TLC
Room was pretty basic in much need of a makeover. Bed was ok but the pillows were terrible, they looked ancient and well past the sell by date. Food is excellent though, I had breakfast and evening meal for 5 days of my stay and everything I ate was top quality
Rooms are dated and so are the pillows
Main building is nice.
The annex where my room was is pretty tired.
Very comfortable. Nice big room. Comfy bed. Nice breakfast.8
Very helpful staff, free upgrade upon arrival. Food in restaurant was excellent
