W Austin

You will miss luxury in Austin if you don’t stay in the W Hotel.
We did not want to leave … make sure you go to one of the three bars in this hotel. The bartenders make the best drinks in town and keep the conversation, lively and interesting.
The rooms are designed for relaxation, privacy, and luxurious comfort.
The location is in the center of good shopping, live music and the nearby walk along Lady Bird Lake.
The staff is so accommodating that we booked another visit.

Valet was excellent. Helpful with bags and recommendations for me and my girlfriend. Would definitely go again. The rooms were clean and comfortable

The pillows

This was my first time staying at a W, and was hesitant because I’ve never had a great impression of them. It started off great with a pre-arrival phone call with some questions and a request, and Brian in the front- office who took the call was fantastic. Then, at check- in, a lady named Jordan who was simply delightful. Special accolades also to Linda in engineering and also the gentleman that worked the last few days at the front desk of the spa, and also the tall, slender gentlemen in valet parking (manager) last evening and then again today.
The hotel itself is fairly modern and aesthetically pleasing, very very quiet with no smells anywhere in the guest hallways or in the guest-room rooms, which is all critical to me. The gym is the most fantastic hotel gym I’ve experienced, with only one exception- the new Fontainebleau Las Vegas. The air-conditioning was very good however they have it set whereas whenever there’s no movement in the room, etc. it seems to go off, and for me that is not a good feature. I have a long, past history living in Miami and we sleep cold. That was my first and only complaint, until I came down to the lobby, rushing to head to a meeting and encountered three (3!) front desk agents that all decided they did not want to assist me with my two small requests before rushing to a meeting. The requests were simply change for a 20 so that I could tip the valet, and also if someone could please have the valet bring my vehicle up.
Mind you this meeting on my second night there was the whole reason I was in Texas for this trip, and this surreal level of ineptness and lack of care, not only delayed me arriving, but also tarnished a good part of the evening.
The situation further exacerbated itself when they then gave me an inadequate email address to reach out to the General Manager, which then prompted a delay in the GM getting back to me.
This was all a shame, in that there are so many employees at this location that are simply next-level; and all their hard work and care almost goes in vain when a couple don’t hold that same commitment to hospitality.

Great stay during my recent visit!

I especially loved the OutPost “dual-monitor workstation setup” in the room. It made a huge difference in my productivity while traveling. Truly a thoughtful and incredibly helpful amenity.

As many have indicated, the hotel is well equipped and very serene. Checking in was the highlight of the stay. The W representative working behind the desk was kind, professional and very friendly but truly, the experience went downhill from there. We did not get the room we were told we would get, the floor of the bathroom seemed as if it wasn't cleaned prior to our arrival and the fridge wasn't working properly. All quite small things in the grand scheme of things but they did add up.

The worst part was that our room was never cleaned (we only stayed two nights) and the exact same thing happened to family members also staying at the W.

The value just wasn't there at this particular location and would have a hard time recommending this particular property to those visiting Austin.

Except for the employee entering my room unannounced it was fine. The hotel did everything to find out who it was which was nice.

Our stay at the W Austin was nothing short of amazing — the atmosphere, the design, the vibe, and the energy of the staff were all top-notch. The hotel feels modern, fun, and upscale, exactly what you’d hope for in downtown Austin.

That said, we did run into a couple of small issues during our stay, but that’s where the real highlight came in — Vesna, the front desk manager. She was absolutely incredible. Every problem we had, she fixed immediately and with such grace and professionalism. She went above and beyond to make sure we were happy, checking in personally and making sure everything was right.

Because of her, what could’ve been a small disappointment turned into an unforgettable experience. You can tell she genuinely cares about guests and takes pride in making sure everyone leaves smiling.

Huge thank you to Vesna and the entire W Austin team — we’ll definitely be back and recommending this hotel to friends visiting Austin!

First off the W has to be one of the nicest hotels I stayed at. From the front desk to room, everything seemed trendy and beautiful. I gotta give a big shout out to Jamal the vallet attendant at the front, He has a perfect blend of professionalism and personality. We will be back.

Just recently got married and me and my wife and pug decided to re-visit the W in Austin and the reason why we chose the W is because this hotel is beautiful inside, through and out , Suzanne is always the best and the sweetest person you can ever meet ! Ty so much Santiago very courteous and outstanding, and Yussef always willing to help, you guys always make my stay welcoming and fun , the rooms are always clean , beautiful and the pool is so eloquent, plus guess what? No need to get your coffee somewhere else 2nd and roast is located inside the hotel is 5 stars. I will forever come to this Hotel when in Austin and recommend it to my friends and acquaintances. Our new favorite hotel in Austin, period. if you're looking for a nice, quaint hotel in downtown ATX, look no further. Despite its size, it has the feel of a boutique hotel. No crowd. No wait. The valet service, albeit pricey at $60 per night, is by far the best we've experienced anywhere. Two valet attendants helped us at vehicle dropoff and four (yep quatro!) at pickup. The staff everywhere are sharp and professional. We received a complimentary pour of Prosecco at check-in. We got a corner room with lots of windows and a great view. Although small, it was ample. The room is gorgeously appointed with outlets and amenities galore. Plenty of closet space. Bath area is uber modern and clean. The king-size bed was comfy and the pillows were great.

My experience at the W Hotel in Austin was amazing from start to finish. The atmosphere is modern, clean, and full of great energy, the kind of place that makes you feel instantly relaxed. The front desk staff were friendly and professional, and the valet team was especially impressive. Jamal went above and beyond by greeting me right away, was incredibly polite, and made sure my car was handled with care. Everything ran smoothly, and his positive attitude really stood out. Between the great service, the convenient location, and the overall vibe, I’d definitely recommend staying here!

I spent a week at the W Austin and had a great experience. The breakfast was fast and fresh, with plenty of options. The staff were friendly, helpful, and made sure everything went smoothly during my stay.
The real highlight was the OutPost service. They literally delivered a work setup for me to use. Dual monitors, a hub, keyboard and mouse. Having a setup in my room made working so much easier. Early morning and late night calls were a breeze, and I could get things done without being hunched over a tiny screen. OutPost really made a difference and was the best part of my stay.
From now on, I’ll look for hotels that offer this service. Even if a place doesn’t have all the other features I would usually want, having a dedicated workspace is a game changer for me. I definitely recommend W Austin if you want comfort and book an Outpost setup through the front desk if you want a great space in your room to get work done while traveling.

Amazing stay at the W Hotel! The accommodations are always on point. Anthony and the valet team were outstanding—friendly and fast!
