Cold and depressing.

Check in was easy and friendly. Room was clean and tidy, bed was comfortable and exactly what was needed

TV didnt work - No Signal.
The shower was dreadful - I actually scaleded my wrist.
Only one setting - Hot as the Sun.
I needed that shower as s i had an important medical issue but it fried my head.
An awful experience.
I will be demanding a full refund

This was probably the worst Hotel room I have stayed in in the last 10years, it was dirty and smelly, and very badly maintained, If it wasn't 1am in the morning when I arrived I wouldn't have stayed

Good price for the night, clean rooms and bathrooms, friendly staff. The only problem was there was no one on reception at 7.40pm. A note was left on the desk, asking customers to ring a mobile number. But as a person who had just arrived from abroad and didnt have a UK mobile phone couldn’t ring the number. Luckily another customer who was also waiting and had a UK mobile phone, rang the number for me.

The property is by the M74 on the service station by a lake but a bit remote from the towns Ideal for a traveller the room was nice and the view of the lake from the small balcony was good. It connects to the services so you can get food and some shops etc it is about 10 miles to Moffat and lockerby for mor bigger shops. Not for this reply but I have a problem with what Expedia show with pricing being displayed but not giving you the price shown

everything about the stay was nice the staff, the noise at night was quiet and the rooms seemed clean on the face of it but the room had a very strong musty smell that wasn't pleasant and stuck to everything in my bag and things still smelt of it till i was home to wash it, other than that it was a good stay

Plenty parking space, staff friendly.
Couldn't switch on the TV, no remote for the TV.

If I wanted to be picky there were a few things I could whinge about but it was just a one night stop to break up a long journey home. The bed was very comfortable and the amenities were great.If you are expecting the Hilton you will be disappointed. The staff were very helpful and friendly but a little overpriced when you have 2 dogs I thought

Really friendly and helpful staff. Both the check in staff on entry and exit were friendly and helpful. There was a particularly kind and helpful cleaning lady/ chambermaid on Friday pm. The fact it’s close to the motorway and also overlooking a lake are big pluses.

Sold as lake view but overgrown trees meant that lake cannot be seen.

Busy roadchef services but found an easy parking which was free , family room was large enough , clean & pleasent, maybe next time we will get a lakeside balcony room.
