It was a peaceful and happy stay. The rooms are cozy and clean. Good staff.overall and amazing stay.value for money is great and easy accessibility to the close by places.
Best hotel with very cheap rate of booking.
Well done days inn Winchester staff for the warm welcome.
Hope to come back on my next visit
The location of the hotel was so close to winchester, that too the price for room was cheap, with services area next door. For my stay which was short, I had a good sleep, the bed was made good, silence over all.
Reception staff was also wonderful
Hope to stay next time
We booked the days inn as we had a pleasant experience at another location. We had been to the Winchester Christmas market and thought we would stay over. Arrived and was given our key. On entering the room the carpet has clearly not been hoovered. My partner pulled back the duvet and there were hairs in the bed. We went down to reception and requested another room. The receptionist did not seemed phased by this and gave us another key. Again the carpet was dirty and clearly not been cleaned properly for a long time as thick dust is present around the furniture. On entering the bathroom there was an awful odour and the bathroom was disgusting. Mould and just dirt everywhere. We decided not to stay and checked out requesting a refund.
I had a pleasant stay at Days Inn Winchester. The location is very convenient, especially for travellers, with easy access to the motorway and nearby facilities. The room was clean, comfortable, and well maintained. The staff were friendly, helpful, and made check-in and check-out smooth.
The hotel offers good value for money, with basic amenities suitable for a short stay. While it’s not a luxury hotel, it meets expectations for comfort and cleanliness. Overall, a good option for an overnight stay or short visit to Winchester.
I had an excellent stay at this hotel. The staff were very friendly, professional, and always ready to help. The room was clean, comfortable, and well maintained, with all the facilities I needed. The location is perfect and easily accessible.
What impressed me the most was the hospitality and quick service. Everything was well organised, and I felt very comfortable throughout my stay. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting. I look forward to staying here again.
My husband booked this hotel as a convenient overnight stay between destinations. We arrived late, but plenty of parking available. We eventually checked in as there was an issue with the other guests booking. The receptionist was friendly and checked us in with no issues. The hotel had a very strong smell of cooking/garlicky which wasn’t very pleasant. We found our room and as expected was minimal but didn’t expect anything more. However on closer inspection it was filthy, the carpet was stained and dirty, coffee splashes on the wall, stained old coffee cups, the base of the bed had marks on it, bedside lamps lopsided and full of dust and cobwebs, curtains looked like something out of the 80’s. The bathroom was just grim with chipped tiles, limescale, shower curtain was yellowing and stained and there was a strange insect crawling in the bath. I laid on top of the quilt and luckily I had my own blanket and pillow as you could feel the mattress spring’s. The spare pillow bag was empty and left on top of the shelf. If we hadn’t been driving all day we certainly wouldn’t have stayed here overnight. My husband then suffered with shoulder and neck pain for the next couple of days which we put down to the uncomfortable bed. Needless to say we wouldn’t stay here again!
Only good thing was the bed. And shower.
We arrived at check-in time. The dirty laundry was covering the floors of every corridor. The room was very dusty and everywhere was in need of a good hover. Housekeeping is failing on these areas. Glass doors were all very dirty. No one on reception in the morning, we were locked out of our room for over half an hour. Manager said he would give us a refund due to these issues and he’s not done it. As a returning customer we won’t be back.

Very helpful staff. First with assisting with booking then during our stay. Basic family room but plenty of fresh towels, drink top ups and lovely and warm. We took our two dogs. Very dog friendly. Grass areas all around and bins for poo bags. Will definitely revisit when in this area.
The cleaner opened our door with no warning at 25 past 10, when checkout was not due until 11am. My girlfriend was in a towel after her shower. Also, The shower didn't have any shower gel for us to use, this should be a basic check beforehand by staff to ensure there is enough in there for the occupants. No one on the front desk the following morning at check out to pass this information on to, so had to send the review via this method. For the price the room and its facilities were generally alright, but more basic checks are needed.
We wanted to stay close enough to Southampton as we had a mini cruise booked the following day.. this was spot on.. made very welcome at reception.. also free parking.. our room was basic but had everything we needed. We did ask for additional pillows and this was sorted promptly.. 1 minute walk to Burger King, Costa, Greggs in the service station area.
Yes the place could do with a bit of tlc but we have no complaints and would definitely stay again!
Very clean room and bathroom.
Comfortable bed.
An older design but for £55 a double room it’s excellent.
Check in/out was easy.
very well service nice staff easy check in menager speak nice explane everythink smooth and easy definally go again nice and cozy rooms
Great experience at this hotel. The Manager was so helpful and made us feel very welcome and helped us with an issue so willingly Thank you again
The bathroom was not clean. The bath was rusty the tiles and air vents were mouldy and the soap dispensers were empty. It was a grim.
My stay was in two parts and I left pictures and full review previously
I stayed here in September, the first room I was given had a broken curtain, dirty walls and a very mouldy bathroom. I asked to change rooms as it was honestly disgusting. The next room was marginally better with slightly less mould in the bathroom. I asked to use the guest washing machine (which I am very pleased to see if no longer listed as an amenity), the front desk informed me that it was used to wash 'dirty things' and my washing would not smell good. Very disappointed with this stay, this hotel is in desperate need of a refurbishment.
It was a very good experience, very good staff and helpful. Nice room with all the needy things, and amazing experience I would love to come again
Great price and convenient for royal Hampshire hospital
Not sure where to start with this one.
I’ll admit I did make the booking only a few weeks away from our arrival and because of that some of our regular hotels in the area were not available. I took a look at this Days in online and while it wasn’t ideal in terms of location I figured it looked ok for the few days we needed it.
The first issue was I booked a family room with multiple beds and was given a room with a single bed. When I went to the front desk I was told that even though I booked a room with multiple beds they decided to give me one with a single bed because I put on guest at time of booking.
I also prepaid for the early check in a few days before arrival and it was not in the system when I arrived. All that said the gentleman at the front desk did change the room and allow the 1pm check-in.
I thought that was the end of any issues until I actually got into the room, the condition of the room left a bit to be desired. I’m not sure when last the carpet had ever been cleaned. There was Mold in the shower and around the tub, I had to create a shower mat out of a plastic bag in order to use it. There were spiders and other creatures in the room.
The bathroom sink drain was stuck shut and I asked a member of staff to assist hoping he would see the condition of the room and maybe realise the room hadn’t been cleaned (in months) he just banged at it with a spoon and acted like I should have been able to fix it.
This was not a great experience at all.
