Once we were inside the hotel, everything was 1st class. The bed was comfortable. The room layout was perfect, very spacious. The decor was beautiful.
We arrived around midnight on 7/19. The young girl who checked us in had no idea that we needed a code to get into the parking garage. She told us to park in the small parking lot where deliveries are made. There were alot of weird people walking around. My family and I felt unsafe. I walked to the parking garage "entry box" which had a note stating that we needed a code in order for us enter. I was very disappointed the young girl who checked us in didn't know anything about it. I had to walk back into the hotel to tell her I needed a code, which she gave me. I was then able to enter the parking garage where I felt safe.
Way overpriced for what it was. Paid almost $500 for one night! Had horrible. Tenor parking garage. Left 2 messages for manager, Sheri Vasquez, who never returned call. Bad service.
We really liked the size of our room and of course that it was clean! The hotel is in a great location and we were able to walk around to find food and it was easy access to the highways. There was also a parking garage that was so great since it was summer time in Texas.
very dated
Was not told there was a breakfast. The location was fine
The ac didn't work the first day but staff brought fans. Took them to the wrong room until I finally called again 2 hours later. Then we got them. Was fixed the second day. The WiFi didn't work so they had us call tech support but that didn't help. We even paid for the better internet which never worked. The Hotspot on our phones was better. Not the best experience by far.
It was very clean and bed very comfortable.
Parking wasn't ideal.
This is the BEST Hotel. It is in downtown Amarillo. It has a multi-tiered covered parking garage that is NOT valet. Yay!!!. It is in the Gorgeous, historical Fisk Medical Bldg and walking distance to a few restaurants and other places. The lobby is so nice and there is a Starbucks cafe. The hotel is interesting to wonder around in because of it's history. There are displays of the original Otis elevator and the original mail shoots are still on the floors and the mail goes down to the main mail box on the ground floor. Now, the parking is so wonderfully attached. It's right there and you walk in the back door just feet away from your vehicle. There is a basement if a nado blows through. There are photos of the founder and others. It's just really cool. The staff was so nice to us. There are also fresh baked cookies at the front, every day. We stayed there on Thanksgiving and we upgraded to an incredible suite. It had two walls of windows overlooking the beautifully lighted street below. There is a closet. Always a plus. There was a living room desk and an underneath table on rollers that we moved to the gigantic bedroom to put items on. The living room had a beautiful view and a bar and a cute sofa with a drink table and an ottoman. Great lighting throughout. The restroom was two rooms with gorgeous windows and big marble window sills. This is a great place to stay. I took tons of pics with my digital but alas, I need to find my memory card to upload them.
I stayed here while driving Route 66 east to West. The hotel is in a beautifully restored old building in the heart of downtown Amarillo. The staff was welcoming. The room was spacious and the bed very comfortable. The laundry facilities came in handy, as this was close to the mid-point of my trip. Highly recommend.
I love staying in this hotel! Its a beautifully restored early 20th century bank and office building. The well appointed modern rooms are complimented by the historical lobby and public space. The staff is very friendly, efficient and make check-in fast and easy.
The covered parking is especially nice during winter weather, spring thunderstorms or hot dimmer days. Nearby are several restaurants within walking distance.
Everything, close to downtown , Melissa was very helpful
What I like is it’s location… in the middle of downtown…!!!
Well maybe the weather I’m a little sick…!!!
