A very cool hotel and room, 4 poster bed, tall ceilings, tea coffee and even Tim Tam were provided!
Everything was great.
Room was huge
The decor
Missing a manhole cover in the toilet. A 5cm hole in the bed cover.
A stained blanket.
A dodgy bedside light that kept flickering.
Curtains draping on the floor about 50cm.
Very noisy from the road and trains
The room had a very strong mouldy smell
The place was super old and super dirty. The dust would lift up as you walk around the carpet. I would leave if I had where to go.
The room was very beautiful in its unique manner. The bed was softer than I would usually expect.
They canceled my reservation while i was in the airport going toward Rockhampton, terrible booking experience. There wasn’t any ither hotel available around so I had to book somewhere else 40 mints drive outside the city. Cant trust them anymore.

No privacy in the ‘bathroom’ and nowhere to properly hang used towels
The heritage ambience of the room was amazing- like stepping back in time. The bed was very comfy we enjoyed our 2 night stay very much. Highly recommended if you like the heritage appeal😊 The room also was very very clean!
Maybe the lighting in the room could have been a bit brighter due to a few globes not working in the main ceiling light.
The hotel garden is lovely and the rooms are decorated nicely
As soon as you walked into the room all you could smell was a musty odour. It really was overpowering. We opened all the windows and turned the aircon off. It did improve over several hours but it was uncomfortable to begin with.
I’m not from Rockhampton so didn’t realise it was on the train line. Slightly unfortunate as we both got woken up during the night.
Good room.
The noise from the trains and the hotel across the road was bad.
The bed was incredibly comfortable and I loved the spa.
The decor was beautiful with a very comfy couch to sit & watch a movie.
The only slight negative that can’t be helped was the train noise. Not frequent enough to be too disturbing though.

this is a very grand old hotel with replica antique firniture including king sized 4 poster beds desk lounge and 20 foot high ceilings
