Spa bath was a nice touch
Great Western Hotel across the road do a nice pub meal
Smell - very overpowering.smell like room deodoriser/cleaner. When we got there, had to air room out for an hour or so
Lighting - very dark in the room

Bed was soft
Location worked very well for us, the room suited our needs, the bed was the most comfortable you could find in motel/ hotel accomodation and the proximity of the Great Western Hotel across the road for meals and drinks was fabulous.
Just a small amount of maintenance like light bulbs.
Large room, ability to check in late
Didn’t meet she staff as reception not manned overnight - bath in the room is a little odd and whilst unique it is a little dated - road noise can be loud

The old world charm; Heritage building turned into hotel
Accessibility & Service: Due to the high ceilings, staying on the first floor requires climbing the equivalent of two flights of stairs. This was made more difficult by the lack of luggage trolleys or assistance.
Room Maintenance: The room felt neglected. The basin tap handles were loose, the toilet seat was unstable, and the spa pump cover was broken and would not close properly.
Hygiene & Housekeeping: I was very disappointed to find a half-empty bottle of water in the fridge upon arrival. Additionally, the bed lacked a mattress protector.
Missing Amenities: For a boutique hotel, the lack of basic essentials was surprising—there was only one water glass, no extra blankets, and no hairdryer provided in the room.
Comfort: The windows are sealed shut and cannot be opened for fresh air.
Dining: The breakfast options appeared mediocre, so I opted to eat elsewhere.
Location was good
The room was incredibly dusty. The bed was well and truly past its used by date with massive holes which made it quite awkward to sleep in. The flush mechanism on the toilet was almost broken and had to be held down hard to flush. There was no towel rail, so we had to clean the top of the shower curtain rail to throw our towels over it. The verandah boards are also a bit of a safety hazard.
The dust was really the killer though. We closed the curtainswhen we arrived and you could see the dust cloud when you touched them. And the skirting boards, shelves and desk were caked in dust.
Historical building with suitable decor. Location was good.
The strong damp smell! The vanity was clogged.

Fantastic Interiour, littel bit out dated but it gave the room a romantic atmosphere. For us, traveling through, the location was ideal.

The most spectacular motel room ever. A mix of old and new and comfort all mixed in together.
The cost of items in the mini bar was very overpriced.
