Très agréable séjour dans un hôtel conforme à nos attentes. Chambre et salle de bain spacieuses, personnel chaleureux et accueillant. Petit-déjeuner copieux et de qualité, dîner absolument délicieux ! Seul petit bémol : devoir payer le pain. Nous recommandons cet établissement sans hésiter.

Cons:

l’insonorisation de la chambre, car l’ouverture avec la clé et la fermeture de la porte en bois sont très bruyantes, ainsi que l’absence d’une petite poubelle dans la chambre (juste une dans la salle de bain).

Lärmbelästigung durch nichtisolierte Abflussrohre der Badezimmer
Cons:

Die Nachtruhe in Zimmer (19) war inexistent. Lärm aus der Küche und aus der Rezeption. Wir wurden nachts durch die Toilettenspülung vom Zimmer über uns mehrmals aus dem Schlaf gerissen. Das Abflussrohr war nicht isoliert. Das „Hotel du Silence“ hat definitif seinen Namen nicht verdient. Ein Aufenthalt in diesem Zimmer ist unzumutbar.

Un séjour évasion réconfortant

Wij verbleven in een prachtige suite en hebben genoten van de rust, de omgeving en de uitstraling van het hotel. De locatie is bijzonder met uitzicht op het natuurgebied. Het diner is fantastisch. Het ontbijt ok.

Cons:

De terrassen van de suites hebben de hele dag zon. Op een zeer warme dag (code geel) wilden wij gebruikmaken van een van de aanwezige parasols op het terras. Nadat wij een parasol hadden geopend om in de schaduw te kunnen zitten, werd ons verteld dat deze gesloten moest blijven omdat de parasols uitsluitend bedoeld waren voor bruiloften. Op een dag met extreme hitte vonden wij dat moeilijk te begrijpen. Een parasol is er uiteindelijk om gasten comfort te bieden, zeker wanneer deze op dat moment niet voor een evenement wordt gebruikt.

Na een gesprek met de manager werden de parasols alsnog geopend, maar de volgende dag moesten ze gesloten blijven. Ons bleef het gevoel hangen dat een eenvoudige keuze voor comfort van gasten ondergeschikt werd gemaakt aan een interne regel, maar dit is zeker op zo’n dag met hitte gewoonweg oncomfortabel en zelfs gevaarlijk.

Voor ons is gastvrijheid juist het combineren van schoonheid en comfort: een mooi terras, open parasols en de vrijheid voor gasten om zelf te kiezen tussen zon en schaduw. Dat leek hier uit balans. De foto’s van het hotel zelf laten overigens nog bomen zien voor de suites maar die zijn omgehakt.
