The Diplomat Hotel and Spa

Our third time staying at the Diplomat and Im sure we'll be back again soon. Room was amazing, super comfy bed, staff friendly as always and excellent spa facilities.

Great staff

Spa was good. Nice pool, sauna and steam room. Evening meal was very good but breakfast a little disappointing. What was there was good but I probably arrived at a busy time as very few eggs and hash browns or fresh fruit.
The guy on reception was very helpful.

Food is very poor, bed is OK. Cleaning so so bad.

Lovely hotel, with large sunny terrace. Stayed in the heatwave, and no air con of fan in the room. Had the windows wide open, but there was a wedding on, so lots of noise. Obviously that isnt the hotels fault, but a fan in the room, and some bottled water would have been lovely. Id stay again, and recommend though

Great food room was large though outdated. Free biscuits and coffee.

Excellent dinner menu and the food was delicious.

Relaxing spa after a long day

We had a lovely stay at the Diplomat. The staff were all wonderful, really helpful friendly and we felt very welcome. The hotel itself it a bit tired but everything was very clean and we enjoyed a delicious breakfast. It’s in a bit of a weird location but we had a wonderful trip to the Gower exploring the coast around Rhossili which is beautiful.

Hotel was nice enough and the staff really friendly, however two things stood out and affected my visit.
The drain in the shower stunk, and I had to keep the bathroom light on so the fan would dull the smell. During breakfast the ladies who were lovely, asked if I wanted a tea or coffee, I would respond, they would then forget and this happened 3 or 4 times and didn’t end up receiving the coffee. I think this hotel potential had a grand past, but its quite tired now.

The Potential was good for this hotel, but unfortunately I had a room that was really hot and no fan available, on top of this when I opened the window it led onto the back of the hotel where there was some kind of service entrance where deliveries were made and it was noisy.

I found this stay a bit hit and miss. I was first given a room with an unbearably smelly bathroom and unsafe shower (no temperature control and part missing). I mentioned this to reception on way out next morning and on my return in afternoon it appeared nothing had been actioned, so i was given an alternative room which was much better and i would have been happy to extend my stay in the second room. The breakfast was alright, choice ok but nothing outstanding. Coffee was luke warm on 3 out of 4 cups. One of the waiters (Elizabeth) at breakfast was outstanding and an absolute credit to the hotel. Its clear the hotel has done a lot of work to make it comfortable and accessible but this currently looks quite hotch potch with some areas looking more moden than others, it will be interesting to see this hotel in a few years time.

Rooms in poor conditions, extremely hit, the shower doesn't work...poor quality in breakfast.
The only positive side the staff very helpful.

There were some damp pathches on the ceiling in our room. The hair dryer was too loud borderline broken. The room was clean however. Staff and food waa lovely and affordable. We had a good stay and would come back

1 night work trip. Comfortable, good food.
Nice room. Convenient for my work.
