Residence Inn by Marriott Cincinnati Downtown/The Phelps

Location was great and all staff that we encountered we very nice

Not your typical Residence Inn, The Phelps boasts a boutique feel with historic character while still offering the expected RI amenities. Our spacious one-bedroom suite with two queen beds comfortably held our family with two teens for five nights, with great views of Lytle Park and the Ohio River from both windows. The hotel was immaculate with friendly staff and a high-quality breakfast with a good variety of hot items rotating throughout our stay. Parking is valet-only but car retrieval was noticeably friendly and prompt. The location was easily walkable to The Banks and Great American Ballpark, and a stop for the free Cincinnati Connector streetcar was a few blocks away. The Phelps was a fine choice for a stay in downtown Cincinnati.

Beautiful hotel! Lovely room, clean, and quiet.
My husband and I would like to give a shout-out and thank you to Naz and Joy at the front desk, as well as Jamarkis, the valet. Naz was gracious when I called ahead with questions. When we arrived, all three were warm and welcoming. Marriott! Give these three wonderful folks a great review for their record as well as a raise. Booked in February, $325 for one night, just told today that I have to pay $175 to get to the roof on the night of my stay, which is why I booked the hotel on this date. This is a listed amenity, shame on you, why wasn't I told earlier?? Hotel will do NOTHING to help out. Why stay here when there are hotels that treat their guests with respect, not like a wallet.

I only stayed for one night based on availability. I booked the 1 bedroom-Queen suite. The suite was spacious, and clean. In walking to Paycor stadium. Great location. I will definitely stay at this location again.

Tynisa was as terrific as could be - friendly, engaging and full of smiles at the bar. Our friends remembered her from at least last year if not more and she remembered them. They have been going back to Cincy and this hotel for 3 years now for a very special celebration.

Location was perfect about a 10min walk but wasn’t too bad. Rooms were cleaned and updated. Rooms had a full kitchen which was a plus! Staff were very polite and helpful ALL OF THEM!!! Breakfast was on point and had a variety to choose from. 10/10 Definitely recommend! You won’t be disappointed!!!

Love love loved my stay at the Residence Inn Phelps. My room was clean and spacious. Location was charmful, convenient and quiet just how I like it. From the front desk to the rooftop, the customer service was great. Especially, Tynisa at the bar... she really made my day the last night there. I hope to stay here again

Loved the property and closeness to the stadium

Our stay at The Phelps Hotel was absolutely wonderful from start to finish! The room was beautiful—spotlessly clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully appointed. One of the highlights of our stay was the incredible rooftop, with amazing views and a fantastic atmosphere that made every visit memorable.

What truly made this hotel exceptional, though, was the staff. Angie and Tasha were so warm and accommodating at breakfast each morning. Their kindness, attentiveness, and cheerful personalities genuinely brought sunshine to our mornings and made us feel so welcome.

A special thank you as well to Rob, the General Manager, who went above and beyond with fantastic recommendations for places to visit, eat, and explore around Cincinnati. His local knowledge and genuine hospitality helped make our trip even more enjoyable.

The staff is so courteous and kind. Loved the kitchen and amenities made it feel more like an apartment. Very clean. Close enough to walk to Great American Ballpark. Every single person working there was kind and went above and beyond to help.

It was a great location for downtown events. We walked to every one of our events. Plus, everything we order at the restaurant was delicious. We never left the hotel for dinner.

The front desk staff are incredible. Always friendly, always knowledgeable always outstanding. Naz is excellent and keeps everything running smooth.
